I'm all for anything that implies cute monster boys but ugh at being meant for more than one player and I'm not really sold on the humor either.
David Thomas
>the humor humor is probably the hardest thing to write but i cringed a couple times reading the page.
the art looks so nice, at least.
Jonathan Walker
well at least they have a sensible funding goal. So there's that
Luke Russell
>art looks so nice ugh
Owen White
I'm ambivalent on the actual art, but the designs are pretty nice imo.
Brody Walker
it's different and polished, even if it's not a style you enjoy it's easy to see why someone would like it.
Michael Reed
I've averaged about a CG per day now. used to be every 3 days or sometimes even a week
Adam Cook
Polished seems like a stretch. Simplistic seems more apt. Little animations were kind of neat though.
Ian Gonzalez
>tfw character sprites
Adam Campbell
...
Xavier Myers
Hey /evn/ do we have a discord or something?
Easton Ward
no no one wants to talk to you
Nathan Rivera
It's in the OP
Austin Gutierrez
it's not like i want to talk of any of you b-bakas
thanks, that was probably one of the last places i would've checked
Jacob Perry
> vn players/devs don't read
of course.
Eli Morgan
why is it so hard to find a decent writer to hire
Daniel Moore
But you just wrote! Look in the mirror, user. The writer you're looking for is within you!
Christian Davis
Because they refuse to work on projects where the artist/musician is paid or commissioned but writing is expected as volunteer hours.
Kayden Martinez
i'm paying 4 cents per word
Aiden King
How many words are they expected to write? And what sort of genre/theme?
If the story is shit or hard to write and you expect to find someone who'll write loads then you're chances of finding someone willing to do it are pretty slim.
Austin Ward
50,000 estimated. romance/everyday life
>hard to write i wouldn't hire those people.
Carter Reed
Give me some more details and I might be up for the job. No lewd though.
Henry Martinez
$2000? How many words a day are you expecting them to do?
Julian Hall
>a day
i don't know. i imagine someone competent could finish something that short in less than three months, or even faster so they could get the money.
Adam Allen
What the fuck? Anyone competent can write 3000 words a day.
Even with editing, that's under a month.
I'm speaking from experience.
Nolan Rodriguez
Either you're exaggerating or I'm a lot shittier at my job than I thought I was.
Luke Murphy
I have written 340,000 words and done a full editing pass in under five months, and I've been lazy as fuck some days.
Nolan Sanchez
they probably put a massive amount of novel-like descriptions and introspection in everything.
Evan Fisher
I'm going to go on a limb here and assume your VNs are not among the lists I enjoyed reading at all
Carson Hughes
So it's romance/SoL? Can you link us to a dev blog or the like?
Dominic Torres
No, anyone completely incompetent can write 3000 words of garbage a day.
Some professionals can write more than that and have it be good. Many professionals can't, even fulltime writers. There are techniques that can be used to speed up one's writing, of course.
Anthony Brown
Yes, of course anyone can shit out 3k a day if they don't give a damn about what hits the page. On my best days I've even done 3k of satisfactory writing. But every single day, consistently? If you know the techniques to achieve that, I think quite a few folks here would love to hear them.
Carson Sullivan
I can't guarantee consistent and reliable, but there is advice out there (largely having to do with writing super-quick outlines and goals for scenes before actually writing them) which can definitely get most people moving a little faster.
Ryder Wright
>tfw I never used outlines of scenes and only knew what I wanted to accomplish in my head
Landon Ortiz
I've got outlines running pretty deep here, so my problem's likely something else then. Even knowing exactly what needs to happen in a scene, getting the words together satisfactorily takes much longer than I know it should.
Henry Perez
there's no trick. the better you get at writing, the easier it is to understand a scene and write it faster.
why is this guy such a magnet for money? was he a saint in his past life?
Jordan Mitchell
Hire me user.
I wrote smut for various generals and apparently some of the nonsmut shit I've written has made homoshits cry so that's something right?
Brayden Perez
i don't know, overly attached girlfriend, can you really do all those things you say?
Jace Adams
>that image
Gavin Lewis
this is the Ace Academy team right? They went through like 20 writers over the course of finishing their game. I imagine they used bits and pieces of all the writing they got over that and didn't credit the old writers.
Jose Long
days later and i still can't get over how savage this is
James Williams
>0.9 hours on record
did he play it twice?
William Morris
I applied as a writer on Ace Academy, and part of the application was basically a writing prompt, "One of the scenes involves these two characters in this scenario, please write conversations involving these characters so that we can be sure that you understand their 'voice' and can match the style of what we want in our game." I don't know if they actually used my submissions but it wouldn't surprise me.
Angel Gonzalez
Considering negligee has a character that uses memes I'm honestly curious what the writing is like in that one.
Juan Rodriguez
it's really terrible, like an ESL wrote it. but it's not like anime tiddy games have standards for story and characterization.
My most recent smut example is Bill Cipher/Dipper Pines porn I am shameless and will write 95% of most things
Ethan Nguyen
so feminists will have a reason to back it? as stupid as it is, it probably works.
Brayden Perez
I'm a Copywriter by trade and I write smut and stuff on the side for extra cash. If there's money involved I'll write you anything you want user. No matter how out there it is.
I'm recruiting for a small project, volunteers only. Right now I'm looking for: >An ideas person to come up with an idea for a short story. >A writer to write the short story. >An artist to make one or two sprites and such. >A musician to find open source music and hand it in as their own work. >A programmer to put it all together.
Let me know if you're interested.
Thomas Moore
>I can't draw >I can't write >I can't compose >or program >all I want is a people to make vn for me >not even an idea guy
Gavin Cruz
What a memer. Hire me anyway, I draw the best stick figures.
Nolan Hall
Hired. You can be the artist. I did have another chap lined up to do the stick figures, but his had some major sameface issues. Samebody issues too, come to think of it.
You can be the guy who responds indignantly to bad online reviews of the VN, if you want.
Joseph Nguyen
kek
Sebastian Diaz
You paying?
I can write. I'm an idea person. I can at least draw. I can find work and pretend it's mine.
But I can't work for free, man. Would be fun otherwise.
Adrian Gray
I can offer you fifty bucks for one of those.
Also, coincidentally we have another position we need to fill: >Financial Patron: give us fifty bucks.
Julian Morris
I can draw huge tits with no effort
Carson James
Not a profesional programmer by any standards, but i did once open Adobe Dreamweaver on accident
Gavin Sullivan
Can you draw them onto a stick figure? If so, I think we've got a winning combination.
I've never even opened it intentionally! This project needs initiative like yours.
Leo Parker
LMAO look at this poser!
I can do the programming. I've written like 100 different functions to print "Hello World! You're waifu a shit."
Hunter Martin
Sorry buddy, too slow. im employed now, so long being a useless member of society! ..so uh speaking of, when do i get my first paycheck?
Luis Price
Latest example of my work. I think you'll like the combination of the small body and big tits.
Isaiah Powell
All we need to do is start either a Patreon or a Kickstarter and we'll be rolling in the lukewarm, flaccid cashola of EVN players across the globe. Better yet, we'll start a Kickstarter to fund the creation of our Patreon account!
Yes, this is the polished and scintillating art that the discerning EVN audience craves. I just need to know: can you make it "moé"?
Anthony Hughes
I was influenced by the works of Tezuka - I am not sure if that is a "moé" author. But the focus will be on the breasts.
Aaron Sanders
Her eyes, they enthrall me to my core and tighten their grip on my very soul like the grip of a Rottweiler on a mailman's ass. Can you draw a second one? I hear that the lurid appeal of the "yuri" (shall we say "yurid appeal"?) is the vital force that animates this whole industry.
Anybody got a link to a download of this game? It looks alright but I can't be fucked paying the makers of Analouge.
Jason Green
>It looks alright Nope.
Sebastian Clark
you're not missing anything. go play negligee if you need a fap
Brandon Jenkins
Played that. Wanna give this a shot.
Jaxon Anderson
Not him, but I wanna give it a shot. Unless you can recommend a better lesbian BDSM vn for me to try
Sebastian Bennett
Too far, bro. Too far.
Luis Lopez
Yeah, that mailman joke was in poor taste. My brother lost a cheek to a labradoodle back in '97.
Kayden Hall
Uh
Anthony Kelly
wait patiently for it to be cheap? if they make one game you despise and one game that you like, $5 is fair, right?
Charles Young
Looks like Chronotopia will be funded after all.
Dylan Parker
Come now - surely a man like you can't be fucked no matter whom you offer to pay.
Xavier Richardson
The hedgehog can never be buggered at alle
Matthew Thompson
...
Justin Perry
Absolutely punchable.
Carson Howard
NOT WITH THAT ATTITUDE, OGG-CHAN
Julian Russell
...
William Cruz
I put loads of introspection into my work and I can still only manage 1000 on a good day.
Colton Moore
Your lack of formal logic is astounding, and betrays a total lack of contact with reality. Were your sample anything but the doubtlessly abominable pile of "prose" that it doubtless was, then surely even the most artisitically bankrupt studio would no doubt have taken on your rude and faltering sevices.
That they did not suggests that your work was the kind of meritless trash purloined by the likes of Mark Twain, whose writing have doubtlessly poisoned the American culture. If that is the case, why then, should they then plaster your incomprehensible ramblings into their own work? I can picture you now, in your babble, unable to comprehend even this simple step in logic. Go then, and continue your grand contributions to America's swift decline, as the cretin which you really are.
Or, I dunno, maybe just check if it's still in the script?
Nicholas Gutierrez
even as a joke this writing hurts to read. It's like someone chewed up a thesaurus and then vomited it all over the screen
