Good Handling vs. Speed

Cars are expensive and to get one that does both is really expensive, so most of us have to choose one. What characteristic. What car that fits that characteristic would you actually buy?

if I just wanted to drive and not worry about anything, handling over speed.
if I had the time, I'd buy something with big power and no handling, then modify it to turn.

¿Por que no los dos?

As if most people have that much money to spend on a car.
Even Engineering Explained sold his STI and bought an S2000.

The non sti version can be had for around $25,000 which is comparable to the two cara you posted in the op.

Handing any day of the week. Going fast has its merits, but going semi-fast and being able to not crash into a wall is better.

Cars**

I only used that image since it had a car from each camp. I should have specified, but I didn't mean new cars.

The wrx is faster than the v6 mustang and will keep up with an frs anywhere.

He also owns a 370z and which has both criteria of fast and handling.

More like, The WRX is WAY faster than the FRS and will keep up with the V6 Mustang anywhere.

Does he? I wasn't even aware of this.

The last remnants of my doubts about him being a closet faggot just got demolished

My car goes over 80MPH AND handles well.

You can have both, but you're American and can't have either.
'Fast' relies on not having a >2t vehicle
'Good handling' relies on having fully independent suspension, a >2t vehicle, and proper suspension dynamics.

American cars do not fit those parameters.

Correct response attached

>Whats a GTR
>What's a Shelby GT 350

Eurocars are overpriced slow pieces of over engineer shit.

>BMW M4 GTS losing to a Mustang GT with a body kit.

He supposedly has a girlfriend.

>handling
>can't handle a handful of gravel

>>Whats a GTR
Japanese.

>>What's a Shelby GT 350
Still inferior to a European car of the same price.

I feel like the other way would be better though. Isn't it easier to modify an engine to make more speed? Or swap in one that makes more power?
A long / big body is limited. Maybe I'm wrong though, I don't know too much about suspension mods.

>anti Ameriga crew is in full force
Handling > power for me, to an extent.

>What's a Shelby GT 350
Still inferior to a European car of the same price

Pls give me an example

>Inferior to a European car of the same price.
>It literally destroyed a BMW M4 GTS which cost ALMOST twice as much.
>This was the epitome of the German engineering.

Pic related, faster than any sub 100k European trash.

Also
>You need a light car in order to be able to turn.
>Muh 2t
>What's a GTR?

A >2t car is insane. Wtf would I need a 4000+ lbs or 2000+ kg car for.

>80MPH
>fast
I hit 100 in my 90 bhp pigfat coldhatch shitbox every day on my way to university and back. I'd like to assume that any modern car does at least 80.

Anything over 3500 pounds or so has too much inertia to handle well.

But user, he doesn't own a Miata

Every car can hit 80mph brah. That doesn't make it fast.

The Mustang is better at both.

The pic wasn't meant literally.

>What's a 1LE?
>What's a Z/28?
>What's a GT-R Nismo?
>What's a GT350R?
>What's a 599 GTO?

Wait so are we talking about handling offroad?

Pigfat is what they are.

Still faster than your bus

But the bus corners faster than your economist Mustang. :^)
