Last Thread:

first for anime

pigs

I am fond of coal miners

BULLY FOR YOU

Holy shit, setting the World Age to Old makes the game so much better. Why is over half the fucking map hills on normal settings? Scouts that can only move one fucking tile a turn in the early game is fucking tedious. Forests and Rivers I can deal with, but the fucking hills man. There's like 5x as many as there should be.

>"Soldiers are not like trees. When they are destroyed, they are not so easily replaced"

Nice meme Pericles

What's the consensus on VI so far? Worth it?

But where are you going to get your sweet sweet production from?

Seventh for let's denounce /wtg/ along with their puny postcount.

I don't really like pigs desu

I am fond of pigs

second for agendas are retarded

>Best man edition
>doesn't post the best one
Bet you expected to find wi-fi on Kilimanjaro.

enjoy your no production cities, faget

What the fuck?
What sort of quote is this

is there mega link for patch 1.3.1 for stellaris?

Solid foundation, needs a shit load of tuning and balancing

Could be 10/10 GOTD with DLC and many patches

it is time the world learned of your villainy, scum
hidden agenda: pig hater

worth for the pigs
>mfw Saladin wants haram truffles from me
I heard Peter was almost as high as Kilimanjaro

Worth it? Does it make game more fun?

The system itself is great, it's just that some specific agendas are poorly designed

It turns out Kilimanjaro had no wifi, so I spent all week wifing the pigs

Some balance shattering exploits right now, some tuning needs to happen, and AI is dumb as fuck but those can be fixed and the core of the game is great. Potential to be the best civ once it gets the inevitable expansions, as of right now it's a solid game that needs some patching.

what a joker

No, Stellaris is fundamentally broken and shallow

the very first quote you hear in the game because you need to rush Archery through Animal Husbandry

>some
you mean most of them
Only a couple can be satisfied and give positive reactions
Most of them mean that on higher difficulties you'll get stupid amount of hate for simply not having all the free shit AI gets

BULLY! BULLY! BULLY! BULLY BULLY! BULLY! BULLY!!!

the fuck is that skull n crossbone shit?

> the fuck is that skull n crossbone shit
Minefield module around a military space station

agendas just need to be a lot more specific or a lot more forgiving

half of them are "are you winning the game? fuck you"

for me it will be GOAT the moment Poland is in, presumably on November 11th or sth like that.

>Only a couple can be satisfied and give positive reactions
Are you saying it should be the other way around? Should they all be easily satisfied and all be positive? Is it too gamey for you?

That early? Why?

>10 turns into the campaign
>denounced by Ghandi for not having nukes
>denounced by Cleo for not having as many free units as that bitch does
>denounced by the >h>r>e for sending a delegate to amsterdam
fuuug, I managed to fuck them up, but still, agendas are fucking retarded, there should be a long grace period for most of them

What if they add a real time version of civ 6 in an update?

Diplomacy for ANY AI is basically impossible in a majority of games. I haven't formed a single alliance since release because I can barely become friendly with some AIs and maintain it for longer than a few turns

I know Harald is completely shit, but does he have any redeemable features? How is his music? I feel like playing a Viking now

>I don't have a single ship or coastal city
>we're on the same landmass
>she probably doesn't even have colonies
What did the Queen of Smug mean by this?

>turn 10 on a new game with Redbeard
>meet Scythians
>notice their units moving towards me
>line mine up in defense, even use the scouts
>a standoff on my borders between my 4 units and about 10 of theirs
>they just stand there or shuffle about a bit for almost 10 turns
>then, a message: an unmetplayer has been defeated
>wonder who it could've been, check even though I haven't met anyone else
>mfw it's fucking scythia who done it
>on the next turn her army turns around and just leaves
What just happened? Is this the power of equine cloning?

?????????????????????????

not exactly

Cleopatra
>you didn't start start with 3 - 5 warriors? FUCK YOU!
Trajan
>you didn't start with several settlers? FUCK YOU!
Gorgo
>whatever-the-fuck-she-is-triggered-with-but-it-seems-by-being-peaceful FUCK YOU!
Pericles
>you use Envoys? FUCK YOU!
Pedro
>you fight for Great People? FUCK YOU!
Victoria
>you spawned on different continent even if on the same landmass? FUCK YOU!
Saladin
>you managed to found a religion? FUCK YOU!

It can be fixed but it's a hot mess right now

looks great
better release than five
ai is fucking retarded
diplomacy is still a mess because hidden agendas are weighted too heavily
if you got the dosh get it now otherwise pirate and wait for patches/dlc
i pre-ordered and didn't regret it
already logged more than 50 hours on it

Victoria, Catherine and the king nigger are very easy to befriend. I can't speak for every leader because I haven't even met some of them yet, but you can usually ally them if you behave according to their agendas

That would be an RTS

I want to hug a bored Cleo.

well that's your fucking problem then
i've had steady alliances on deity

we're already in the trailer (hussar), we were on the wall in that leak, November 11th is Polish Independence Day and Firaxis is fond of dates on top of pigs

We also eat a lot of pork, so fond of pigs is a hidden wink

>steady alliances
what even for

>spawn on a lone island
>barb camps keep spawning all around me
>they started making quadriremes from basically turn 10
>a line of quadriremes just camp around my coasts so i'm stuck on this island until turn 105 when I finally meet another civ
>the barbs keep destroying his units now
barbs literally held my civ hostage

???

Trajan is really easy to please too, unless he grows out of control.

>her face when she sees your army

>Halloween mod announced for Cossacks 3
HELL YEAH

If you're on a different continent than her, she will hate you (unless she colonizes that continent) and give you that message.

Though if you happen to start on the same continent as her, well, congrats you're going to be BFFs

Illiterate retard here, why does Victoria say United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, and doesn't mention Scotland?

I got an archer in my city, I want to attack a horseman (barbarian, I would have cleared them if my most my forces weren't occupied defending against Gilgamesh) but a wood is in the way, so he would opt to walk around some. So I cleared the wood with a worker (to build up my walls quicker and to get line of sight) and the shooting icon appears, the red bow thingy, but instead of shooting he still tries to walk around.

Also, when I try to do it manually, by selecting ranged attack...nothing happens.

What the fuck?

Yeah, it's tough. It really depends on what civ you are playing, what civ they are and what their/your victory condition is.
I've alled with England as France and with Egypt and Rome as Sumeria.
The rest of the time, even with a lot of positive modifiers, their agenda/hidden agenda are just weighted too heavily for you to ever befriend them.
It just needs some serious tweaking. Hopefully Firaxis are paying attention and patch it soon.
It really makes me wonder what the fuck they are smoking when they supposedly have been running AI battles internally for months testing the AI out.

if you manage to get an alliance you don't need to think about this one AI attacking you and forcing you to waste hammers on repairing improvements/districts, units to fight it off, etc.

how?

>An unmet player has been defeated
Usually just means someone knocked off a city state. Check the score screen though, it might show one less unknown civ if someone took another player out

>lower tech units
>stuck on a camp, surrounded by ranged units
>used as target practice for dozens of turns
>competition is driven off from the location
You were the barbarian all along, BARBErousse!

Great Britain includes Wales and Scotland, without either of those two it's literally not Great Britain

The country you are then thinking of is England

"British Isles" would have also been proper, but as a geographical area, not as an official title

That's one lewd armpit

barbs are actually quite cool on higher diffs because they can stall AI expanding a bit

I did check and it was.

sideboob and pits are the patrician fetishes

>can combine 2 or 3 units
>they aren't twice or thrice as strong as one unit
Will Armies and Armadas be the auto-explore or auto-improve options of Civ V? Time savers but never used in high level play?

>Tea gives science
>Tobacco gives faith
Can someone explain why

>By the two Acts [of Union], the Kingdom of England and the Kingdom of Scotland—which at the time were separate states with separate legislatures, but with the same monarch—were, in the words of the Treaty, "United into One Kingdom by the Name of Great Britain".

It would be broken if it was twice as strong.

the idea is that if you have extra units you can combine them and that way get more units fighting at the same time, especially important in bad terrain.

can you combine different unit types

twice would be insane, because they would take significantly less damage and do significantly more in one action

though I do think they are a bit underpowered

>conquer all of arabia as teddy
>no one cares
why? I had a cb and was on another continent than everyone else(outside of arabia). Does that make such a big difference?

Simply multiplying their strength would just make them broken.
Do armies cut down the upkeep costs?

Combining units means you can fit more shit on the map and in narrow chokes, it might also modify health or maintenance in ways that makes it profitable on the long run

Plus, you get more efficiency out of building these straight out of the gates

Barb spams horsemen and literally becomes stronger than me the domination leading civ at turn 90 it's fucking bullshit.

the AI has double standards for it

Gandhi AI is very happy to knock out CS more ofthen than not, for example.

Tobacco and other psychoactive stimulants were often used in rituals
Tea I don't know, chinese/japanese scholars drinking the ton of it?

Or just some balance shit that shouldn't be overthought, same with science Iron

If I had to guess, its probably related to the cultures who farmed both

Tobacco is used in a lot of ritual shit

>ai is fucking retarded
Gratuitous, this is /civ4xg/.

git gud fgt

They need to either rein in their tech advantage or stop their cheat production because it's retarded that they can just RNG their way into an army in 4 turns

>thinking other civs arent happy you expunged falafel
topkek

It's a really good idea to form an army out of a highly experienced unit, since the unit that creates the army retains its experience.

It's also good in places where there isn't enough room to maneuver a large force.

thanks senpai. I never use military stations. Are they useful in the new patch?

I don't know about you guys but I'm really getting tired of seeing Gandhi's half naked ass. Only happens with him, his model is the worst imo

basically this
think chokepoints
rough terrain
limited land for flanking
reducing unit maint
consolidating armies after winning on multiple fronts
etc

>Entering the age of sail
>Meet Gandhi
>mfw two turns later someone draws him into a joint war on me
Seriously fuck the AI

>9989
ya fuckin' blew it

I don't mind him, he's a little ayylmao type, but that's okay with me.
Other models annoy me more like Gorgo or happy Harald face, most are fine though
it's up to personal preference

Have you guys found any strong/cheap/OP things lately?

>being this new

The way combat strength works 2 25 strengths would be crushed by a 50 strength unit

>being this ghey

Doesn't meeting a leader and sending them delegations reveal their capital on the map? I just did that but I'm not seeing their capital anywhere

the game can be easily cheesed, I just don't do it.
For example it's easy to build up ridiculous amount of faith generation, far more you need even for religious victory.

Then you can just kind of turn it to hammers by faith-buying units with Theocracy and selling faith-bought units for lots of gold. And you can sell them the turn you buy them so you can just dump all the faith you ever accumulated and turn it into gold in a single turn.

does civ6 have multiplayer accessible by pirates?

Maybe

Nah, military stations are still shit (although it is possible to use them as a useful speedbump lategame by exploiting the snare module).

The patch buff only applied to build-above-a-planet stations.

It's retarded by civ standards. We're talking still running around with warriors and archers even though they researched Rocketry 50 turns ago.

It's kinda bad but at least the rest of the game is good, if the AI can get fixed so it's at least Civ V levels of retardation it'd be a stellar game.

Why is the revelation policy for +2 great prophet points not appearing for me? It says it's made obsolete by Humanism but I'm no way near researching that.

I still get the inspiration policy from mysticism for +2 great scientist points appearing in my policies though.
