VW is unreliable

>VW is unreliable
>VW's are too expensive to maintain

Brehs, please explain how my mk2 has over 300,000 km (I think) and is still running perfectly fine with nothing but basic maintenance?
My odometer broke at 264,000 but I've put at least 35k on it since then

Because Veeky Forums typically think about new Vags, not your old mechanical beast

>186k miles
>a lot
Let us know when it reaches 300k miles

European VAG is infinitely superior to US-built VAG.

It's not a diesel though so that probably won't happen let's be honest.

wow youre right your anecdotal evidence disproves everything
really made me think

Disproves what? You dumb fuck, you took the memes seriously.

300k is fucking nothing tho, my dads -02 tdi passat has double that

The TDI drivetrain is bulletproof, my car isn't a diesel though so it's not an entirely fair comparison.

>nothing ever breaks
>my odometer broke

Except that doesn't excuse shitty engineering decisions that apply whether it was a car made in Brazil, China, or Wolfsburg

outlier and anecdotal evidence

>that probably won't happen but I swear it's super reliable
Meanwhile I've had 3 cb7 Accords break 300k miles

Nothing important breaks anyway lol
Assmad faggot

>evidence that contradicts my favorite meme is anecdotal and void
>rumors based on hearsay that back up my favorite meme are literal facts

I didn't say it was more reliable than a Honda, I said it was more reliable than people make VWs out to be with their memes

>Disproves what?
You're saying that "look my vw hasn't broken down or anything" is proof that the unreliable reputation isn't real.
How can you not understand the things that you yourself are typing?

>Assmad faggot
not an argument

Provide me proof it is real you assmad faggot
See

>ranked under Kia, Hyundai, Mitsubishi, and Chrysler
>on par with Nissan and Fix It Again Tony
yeah but no sure they're reliable because you have your one little piece of anecdotal evidence so just ignore all the case studies

buick a best

Does this apply specifically to vehicles from 2016?
If it does, you're retarded.

>Porsche, Audi, Mercedes and BMW better than average
>among top 10 most unreliable in other """case studies"""
I'm sure u could find a chart that says VW is most reliable.

Well it does say "2016 Nameplate" so what do you think?

>I'm sure u could find a chart that says VW is most reliable.
Go for it, pal
The most generous one you can find still ranks them well below industry average

11 years running

Well at least it's better than ford, can't believe people talk shit about Vw with Ford at the bottom of the list

Even when the industry average was ~4 problems per vehicle, they still found a way

>Well it does say "2016 Nameplate" so what do you think?

>Their 2016 models have more problems than average, so everything they've ever made is unreliable

Does my car look like it was made in fucking 2016?
Find me a """case study""" from 1990 please.
That's still 2 gens ahead of my car dumbfuck.
Same as the 2005 one moron

See

Do you see anyone making a thread about how Ford isn't unreliable because their 1987 Ranger is still running?

>being this poor

>Their 2016 models have more problems than average, so everything they've ever made is unreliable
Their 2016 models, and 2015, and 2014, and 2013, and 2012, and 2011, and 2010, and 2009, and 2008, and 2007, and 2006, and 2005, and 2004, and 2003, and 2002, and 2001, and 2000
Top notch brand, though.

Find a single study that ever showed VW as being above industry standard, how about that.

>ford
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
MORE LIKE ECOSHIT LMAO

>Implying this is my only car
Lol
Safety ratings and the reliability of the TDI drivetrain.

That's a fair point but I regularly see people here talk shit about VW and then proceed to recommend Ford

annnnnnnnnnnd here comes alphonse. thread derailed.

The problem with Ford is that they run a really wide reliability range. Some models are consistently reliable, some models are consistently unreliable, some models have specific engines or transmissions that are troublesome. Everyone has a different experience with Ford but it works out to be unreliable more often than not, but that's why you get those fanboys who just got lucky picks.
Meanwhile, VW is shit all across the board.

I'm just tired of Veeky Forums shitting all over my favorite brand of vehicle. A VW saved my life, and now I'm a bit of a shill. That, and I've owned several throughout the years with good experiences
Clearly you're retarded. And this is not a Ford thread

Which fords are reliable, the F350? I wonder how bad ford's reliability would be without their trucks. My last Ford had to have the transmission replaced multiple times due to a design defect and each time it took like 4-6 months to get the part.

I went from Ford to VW due to my experience with my last Ford. I probably won't ever buy a Ford again due to how bad my last one was.

ford shill the post

Can you go shit up another thread
It's the same idiot samefagging about Ford too.

>thread about VW
>don't talk about VW or other brands mentioned ITT
Fuck you

Trip on, and get the fuck out of my thread.

Blow me

>300,000 km (I think)
>I think
Odometer broken?

Also 300,000km is what, barely 190,000 real units? That's nothing.

Why do you shit up every thread on this board with your retard shit no matter how unrelated it is
See

Yeah, half the Hondas on the road have 200k miles

The reading comprehension is strong with these two

Not even the same person you dipshit. Seriously, blow me.

Go buy a maxipad, VAGboy

Oh you're not that retard trip after all. With all the posts about Ford at once I assumed it was samefaggery.
You're still an assmad little bitch though
What, because you can't read? Kek

Not even mad, sold my Ford because the fixed or repaired daily meme was true. You can still blow me though.

I would still support the brand but their faggot CEO is moving everything to Mexico.

Get fucked faggot
Yeah, I like older Ford's like I like older Volkswagens. I've had bad experiences with new cars in general. I owned an escort and an f150 at one point, escort was unkillable but the truck was shit.

F150s are a lot better than most ford products though. Maybe that's why they're still built in the states while all their other shit is now being made in places like Mexico and Brazil.

What about shit like the FiSt or the Focus ST, are those made in America at least?

Doubt the Fiesta is since they're manufactured in Brazil and Mexico normally, Focus looks like it is although not for long. Thanks Mexico, can't wait for Trump.

>300k km
>thinks its much
Here in eastern europe cars came with that mileage from germany after a few years of usage. Now they have way over 1 million and still do fine

Can has link to that site with those graphs. I wanna troll my dad, huge VW fan.

It's not miles it's kilometers lol
