When you have two Excaliburs, Dual Wield, and Barrage, it doesn't really matter who's using it.
But perhaps for the all-rounded nature of having super-high HP and base DEF and his automatic, high-mitigation covers. Seems like a friend summon to serve any purpose.

Saintly Wall is a passive that only triggers on certain actions, and there's little rhyme or reason to it.

Basically the only attacks you can use are Ranger ones like Aim and Burst Shot.

Cover abilities work with any action that you perform, it just happens that the visual cue (the unit moving) is glitched and won't happen if the unit moves during your turn. But you can easily see that Cecil is by far targeted more than other units and receive halved damage most times, the easiest way to see this is fighting against cactuars and you will notice that he will receive 500 dmg instead of 1000. This is a known bug, nothing prevents saintly wall from happening.

anyone that has a cecil can easily test this, the thread on reddit where they came up with this theory that cover doesn't work was purely based in the visual cue and has been disproved many times, even the guy that datamines the game has already said that it doesn't work like that.

AND two lightnings can only ever chain one hit of crushing blow together before it breaks, you need at least 3 to chain it all at once. The first two hits are more than 20 frames apart from the last two, so a single attack cannot chain them together.

Also strange is that each hit of Crushing Blow has either a 0.54x multiplier (first two hits) or a 0.81x multiplier (the last two hits).

So at best you're getting a 2.781x multiplier, and at worst you're getting a 2.754x one with chaining. Neither of those are better than barrage, which you can chain to 3.28x.

So unless you're packing two of your own lightnings and a lightning friend, this is STILL false.
