"Thou shalt have no other gods before me"

>"Thou shalt have no other gods before me"
>"Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image"

Why do Catholics refuse to read the bible?

Why to Early Christians idolize mere words?

Why does the Bible refuse to read the Bible?

You again. Was getting BTFO in one thread not enough for you?

If the early Christians contradicted scripture, then the early Christians were wrong.

Why does Clement student of Apostles cannot read bible?

>cannot answer questions
>BTFO
Protnigger delusion

Why does Paul not read bible?

>prostrating yourself in front of a statue
>catholikeks will defend this

Why does John of Patmos not read bible?

>worshipping bones
>first christians will defend this

Behold the great Saint Shitpost!

Show me evidence of statue worship before the death of Jesus Christ and maybe you'll have come close to refuting OP's point.

It's so weird how catholics and orthocucks can't recognize their doublethink

Pagans: We don't worship the statue, but what it represents

Cathodox: We don't worship the statue, but what it represents

>what is Jewish treatment of the word YAHWEH
>what is Jewish veneration of OT Patriarchs and dead

Even if you were to let that slide, they'd still be worshiping someone other than God, which is blasphemy.

>being so stupid
>Pagans think deity dwells in the statue one way or another
>Catholics don't
Stay mad loser

>Pagans: We don't worship the statue, but what it represents

Pagans literally did worship the statues, and believed that the gods were present in them.

Have you read the Aeneid, ever? Of course you haven't. But in it, Aeneas is lauded for his piety for carrying his "household gods" out of the fires of Troy. These are little to medium-sized statues made of wood and bone and ivory, carved in the shape of the gods Aeneas' family worshiped. The statues had to be saved because the gods were literally IN them, or that's what the Romans believed. The gods inhabited the statues or at least kept a certain amount of presence in them. That's totally different from Catholic and Orthodox statues and icons.

Pagans: Worship not YHWH
Cathodox: Worships YHWH

>protestants doing this ironically

Hahahahahahaha

Catholics literally kneel in front of a statue and ask it for things. You have to do some serious mental gymnastics to equate that to showing respect to a tomb.

Were these jews asking the graves for things? No? THEN THEY WEREN'T PRAYING TO THEM.

>nonsense
>somehow evidence

I will be praying for your soul.

Is that what they did to Polycarp's bones?

Why the fuck is a dead man's bones treated as holy?

[citation needed]

>requesting prayers from dead
Protniggers confirm for illiterate

ITT: Buttmad proddies

Ha, looks like those jews were pretty blasphemous

You can't defend this, retard. There's no getting around the commandments.

>To the Egyptians and Mesopotamians—and almost certainly to the Canaanites as well—images were not the inanimate objects that the Hebrew prophets insisted they were; rather, they were living, feeling beings in which the deity was actually present. The primary significance of images lay in the fact that the life of the deity was thought to be present in the statue.-Anchor Bible Dictionary, pg 3811

Same with proddies

Don't draw or paint or even photograph things IN SPACE and UNDER THE EARTH

Strange the Apostles and Jesus did not even condemn these practices

Nah, as long as I don't worship them I'm fine

God makes clear no depicting those things

By Prot logic you broke his law

>PROTNIGGERS cannot even be consistent

Why do Early Christians not read bible?

>Christians also
>the early Christians

Where's the citation?

You're using a secondary source

>ignoring context
>ignoring academic source
protnigger apologetics 101

Why do early christians cannibals?

>boi puxx
>katholikeks also will defend this

>ignoring history
>ignoring the bible
Protestants will defend this

So, you admit there's no primary source with such a reference? And your "source" basically pulled this out of their asses?

Great

>Catholics don't kiss, caress, and beat statues of saints as if they were alive let alone saving them from fires
Wew apartment catholic detected.

>even OT makes this implication
>ignoring archeology and context of the time of the Bible
>ignoring scholarship

Why does protestants do this?

>Protshit
>ignores bible and history
>play strawman
Protniggers confirmed cannot into logic

Christians committed ritual cannibalism, incest, and blatantly disrespected the emperor of Rome

All the evidence points there

>protnigger
>so dumb so stupid
>cannot into logic
>cannot into history
>cannot into Scripture scholarship

Let's see what Justin Martyr says about this

Why early Christians cannibal?

>and this is my flesh
>Romans believe it's actual flesh
>and these are my brothers and sisters
>Romans believe it means blood relatives

Was it autism?

Early christians COMFIRMED for autist?
