Fucking disgusting
Is that a key or a pack of listering breath strips?

I'd rather have that than my POS mazda flip key that doesn't flip properly

vw?

better be an rx9 or i do not want it

>my POS mazda flip key

I'm sure there's a simple, stick-into-an-actual-lock backup key, right?

GTFO my Vw key is god teir quality

>Listering

u got it senpai

the porsche 917 lemans car keys are the nicest.

please tell me those holes are for weight reduction

kek

Okay now, where's the keyring hole on the backup key?

They actually are

yeah just looked it up. that's p cool. i'm surprised a race car has a key at all though and not just a bunch of switches

what car did that come with

The key of my Furd Focus is alright

fuck all the grumpy haters, Id cop that.

Most modern keys are stupid chunky and bulky. Id take thin card like key.

I like it. it's simple, a few well identified buttons.
Unlike mine.
I guess that's the price i pay for having an imported car from Bulgaria

Invade Poland button?

The mismatching platic is a shame it look really fuxking bad
Otherwise it's just a normal key

>holocaust button
Muh six million mpgs

Why would it have one. You push a button to get it out.

I've pressed it before, I didn't notice what it *actually* did. I've pressed it while driving, and parked. No real detectable changes

That looks really easy to snap.

Why do I have a feeling like if I snap that in half it would be very satisfying?

What that's real and it's yours? Wtf look in the manual. What do they buttons do that you know of? Also that swastika is backwards.

It's because it's an south asian symbol for luck and fortune not the nazi one

yeah. and no luck there, the manual is in a different language and a lot of pages are missing.
from left to right up to down, the buttons are
>air ride
>fog lights
>horn
>driver seat position 2
>launch control
>unlock
>lock
>driver seat position 1
>trunk opener (need to press 6 times as a safety feature)
>sport mode
>no clue
>no clue
>opens hatch where spare tire is held
>eco mode
>traction control
>opens the charging port

It's a parody

youtube.com/watch?v=uFHehn0UOLU

i thought that was a 'shop at first but it's not
what the fuck
can you drive the car using the buttons

basically, except for turning, braking, and giving it gas. it's helpful for finding your car in a lot

ya but when it flips its badass

Most of them combine the car key with the remote transmitter, which overall is a smaller profile than the two attached together.

>not opting for a proximity fob

Looks thick

it just came to me but why hasn't any manufacturer tried to make credit card style keys to start your car? it'd be curious, then again push start would probably be better.

>doesnt know proximity fov is compromised to fuck.

And? They're basically transponders in the end.

>physical access to the car
Almost every modern car has keyless entry anyways to steal shit

>stealing the car itself
Modern telematics, vin etching, automatic license plate recognition, etc. it's harder to steal/scrap/chop cars than it used to be.

the blade is looser than OP's mom

it only works in the door

my GM key is literally recalled for moving the ignition and disabling the airbags and stuff

it's pretty cool, GM keeps sending me letters because they want it back

it's mine though

Where's the backup key?

fuck your mother

MUFFIN BUTTON

lmao it really does have one...

youtube.com/watch?v=sJxmSqdwIeM

NC MIATA BRO?

>needing a special key to backup

Hey user

yo bruh here yo key mayn

Afaik it was part of the race. Everyone started on the outside of their car. Its the reason Porsche developed the key on the side closest to the door. So you could get into the car and start it + put it in gear at the same time.

[unsheathes katana]

confirmed. don't like vw that much, but the keys are really nice. put mine in the washing machine once for a full cycle by accident, no damage at all.

[unsheathes keytana]*

Flat key is best key.

I just keep mine in my wallet. As long as it's on me, I can unlock and start the car without ever taking it out.

because turning a key and unlocking physical lock on steering column is sooo hard
tip:
amplification attack

wired.com/2016/03/study-finds-24-car-models-open-unlocking-ignition-hack/
>This clear vulnerability in [wireless] keys facilitates the work of thieves immensely,” reads a post in German about the researchers’ findings on the ADAC website. “The radio connection between keys and car can easily be extended over several hundred meters, regardless of whether the original key is, for example, at home or in the pocket of the owner.

do you keep it in your freezer?

I believe the rx8

Also, insurance companies can hash out the regulatory stuff with the manufacturers. Fuck do I care if my car gets stolen anyway?

Like this? The only time they're removed from wallets is to show plebs how pleb their key is.

> blurring obscene manual key

I feel like a chump whenever I have to use grandpa keys

PUT IT IN H!

Me too. Whenever I take the wife's car, I put the key in my back pocket. Then I get pissed when I sit in the car and have to do the whole back pocket shuffle because I forgot I'm in a toilet.

In one door. Nothing else.

m.youtube.com/watch?v=07vdtBMG4Kg

Actually, the manual key is usually there for the glovebox, then you can remove the manual key from the keys before giving it to the valet.

In any event, that's all it's really required

>battery alive, radio working okay
Car would start

>battery alive, radio receiver in car fucked up (or key fucked up)
Key blade or proximity, either way you don't get the transponder info to the car properly, it isn't going to start

>battery dead
Key blade or proximity, the car isn't going to start.

here's your miata keys bro

On my vw the key can only open the door and the glovebox (door hole is covered with a plastic cap)

Car unlocks by touch if fob is nearby and starts with a button. If remote is dead you have to press the fob against the steering column to start it.

That looks like a small padlock key, like literally no difference

my friend's key does not look like that

i like it 2bh

You know that effect you did to blur the image can be reversed and give you back the original image? Same with the swirl effect

it seems that the same car can have different keys
my NC miata key looks like another user's looks like

i mean it'd be nice just to keep the key in your wallet and never have to take it out. but there's probably a downside to that.

is that the actual backup key?
you could use a screwdriver to open a lock like that.

its probably a magnetic identifier system

which makes no sense because the backup key is there in case of power loss

this is what I want for my modern car D:

Fucking mincraft

Do you also worry about your credit card running out of power?
