Wartburg were the best commieboxes.
i like the design of many east bloc cars. the Skoda 110r is among my favourite cars
1st gen Zapos look like beefier Fiat 500
nice. i just love this Tatra coupe. The Est bloc really produced some very interesting cars.
Audi S8+
>The Est bloc really produced some very interesting cars.
This.
Between the stuff made after stolen blueprints, the tiny cars that stayed rear-engined because "it it ain't broke, don't fix it comrad" and some of the pure madness in some cars, it's great to ding into all the stuff they produced.
It's fun to see just how differently things went there.
I love the 1988-1991 Honda Civic Sedan. Don't know why. No one else cares about them even tho they're perfect little beaters.
THE GEO FUCKING METRO
I've got to Jesse Pinkman this thread.
Why did you save that without my permission?
the bristol blenheim 4, only this example was made
love that unintentional kitsch
Dad's first foreign car.
ma igga
We had two of those when I was a kid. We also had two of pic related.
I'd never seen one after we got rid of ours in 1997 or so and then about a week ago one pops up on CL for $300 with a blown head gasket.
I'm extremely tempted.

Whatever one I am imprisoned with.
Will always have a soft spot for these. My dad has one and it just refuses to die.
Everyone wants a second gen Tercel wagon
Volvo 780
Hyundai Sonata. I want one.
You are not alone brother.
01 impreza RV hatchback
buy it and do a rotary swap
i've wanted to buy one, but buying an old car like them which are pretty hard to find parts for put me off. most are shitty condition too and they ask too much for
You might actually be the only person on the planet to care about it.
Even Daewoo doesn't care about Daewoo.

underrated post, my dad had a bright yellow one with a digital speedometer. (sports edition) it was the shit back in the 90s
im in love with this car
Was my first car. Kinda have to give a shit about it. But a SA Superboss would actually be desirable to me, especially by virtue of rarity.
My dad had one exactly like the pic above in the 90's
>tfw you will never be 8 years old again, sitting In the back, bugging your older sister, on holiday in the south of france, while your parents try to read a map to find the campspot, and barbie girl is playing on the radio
They are almost non-existent at this point in my country. Only a couple can be found for sale on the internet and in really bad shape. The rest are probably in a landfill somewhere

I could get passed by a golf cart going uphill but it will always have a place in my heart. My recent project has been to spend $900 on 3 in my area. 1 with a good frame and 2 for spare parts and so I can add ridiculous shit in my garage.

I wonder if Volvo adopted some of those design principles a few years later.
Sexy!
Nice coupe, glad to know there are still some of those around
...
Early 90s ford Escort Wagons.
The Yoda. Just glad it's stick shift
You're amongst friends user
They are but no one cares about the 780 specifically, I think it's a lovely looking car and I want one
>no yous
Truly a boring car
my nigga
I don't even know why I like these but I want two of them.
You're wrong m8. The 780 is great and always will be (well maybe just the B230ft ones...).
I've come across 4 of them in junkyards over the years and had many feels each time. The owner of a Volvo specialty shop in Philly has about 5 of them inside his fenced lot along with two 242GTs.
I'd say the 262 Bertone fits the criteria better, but that's still a sweet ride, I'd say the 480 is the best fit if we're talking Volvos.
I can tell you why I like them and wouldn't mind owning two
they're small and small vehicles make me feel like the car was more designed to fit me like a piece of clothing instead of the way a larger car being something to sit in or on. the 4 wheel drive is great for light off-roading and inclement weather in the northern US. they have an undeniable 90's aesthetic, and they're cute as fuck
a rover fucking metro

civic em2
people only care about em1
why did honda stop doing special editions.
>tfw never ever in burgerland
this and the previous gen are my shit
i love these machines
You're not alone friend.
GLS Tempo
SO AMAZING OMG LITERALLY FUCK EVERY OTHER CAR THIS IS GOD TIER HNNNNGGGGG I LVOE O THIS PLACE IS SUPERIOR
There are 20% more of the 780s than the older 262s. It was designed by Italian minds, so they were quite modern (the 780 v6 also had the problems smoothed out by then). I prefer the older 262, all penned by Jan wilsgard, I like how it's funky swedish mobster look only caters to a few lustful eyes.
Sixth gen Galant gti dynamic4

All of this in 1989

now this is an underappreciated car, I never see any love for the Evo 1
Toyota Paseo
Its got such a great little shape to it
You shut your mouth, I give a shit.
I have one, a 2006 V6 version. Best looking version imho. Good car too, easy to mess with and decently quick. Not super fast by any means but I like it.
But crz and s660 exist user.
Heh, I like a few Daewoos. Had a Tico and a Matiz, but design whise I liked the Espero and Cielo more. Espero would probably be my favourite Daewoo.
Pic related is my uncle's Golf 2. My dad used to own it, but sold to my uncle, car is still around although abandoned in the front of my uncle's garage. According to him the electrical system is fried. Should I take initiative?
...
Do it man. Can't be too complicated, the parts are cheap and you've got nothing to loose
I love the look on both the 262 and the 780, somehow different but still very volvo.
Got those same wheels on my 240 btw.
Daihatsu Mira tr-xx turbo 4wd, and beautifully small
