Does anyone here actually like their job or are you just doing it because it pays well/makes your family and friends proud?

Literally just doing what pays the bills. Shitty factory work. Sometimes I leave work early to go to job interviews lol

Most people I talk to say they hate their job one way or another. In fact it's a pet peeve when I talk to most people, all they do is complain about their job. Ironically they take no steps to secure a better one.

I've worked a few jobs. They all start off fine, but always become displeasing once getting used to it. Now I work for myself and things are always happy.

I like my job. It's simple and with a pay to match. The problem is the training or lack thereof. They give you a 10 minute lesson and then expect you to know everything. It's disappointing to me since I like to do a good job. Pride in working and all that.

What do you guys do? I'm 23 and I'm studying accounting and I'm really starting to hating it. I only picked it because I know its a pretty safe job and it pay pretty good. I guess I still have time to change my major, but I'm not 100% sure on what. As of now I work at a restaurant and I make good tips, but I want to get out asap because more high school kids are coming in and I can't deal with their shit anymore.

I have probably the best "job" (I'm a freelancer) I can imagine for myself, but I guess nobody really likes work. If I could just get $2k every month for doing nothing I probably wouldn't work, though it can be fun at times.

ITT: "freelancers" not telling what they actually do for money

>freelancers
aka mowing lawns for $20 and living with mom and dad

I do affiliate marketing. I started freelancing web development. But clients suck. I got frustrated trying to chase them down for money or close sales. Most people I dealt with had a tiny budget and didn't take their business seriously.

I took what I learned (web dev) and applied it to affiliate marketing. I prefer it since you don't have to deal with other people personally. That's probably the best part for someone who is introverted like me. I pick an offer to promote, make a website, and start marketing it. I don't need to talk to anyone for project requirements and money is automatically sent to me.

I do what I like, making websites, and learn a lot about the marketing process. From copywriting to PPC, to SEO, to split testing and a wide array of strategies to increase web traffic.

I'm a translator. Thanks for the (You).

Nice

>affiliate marketing

I'm not 100% sure on that is.
Do you scam people?

Is that some sort of website where you can over translations?

no

Usually if you want to make money then yes. Affiliate marketing only means that you get paid after the customers you refer. Speaking about what they are buying is an entirely different question. I've tried doing it, the only legit stuff was the Amazon affiliate program but there you can only earn the 4-7% of the orders. Other stuff I saw are all bullshit programs that charge your card for shitty ebooks about "get rich quick" and "lose fat fast" courses.
I wonder what is he promoting exactly.

Yeah, there are multiple. Of course this is not my only source of income, I get like 200-600$ per month from this site in particular. I also have private clients, work with agencies and other websites. It takes a while to gain a reputation and find enough work. But now I'm not even looking for contracts anymore, people just send me jobs per email every other day.

Doing pic related right now, that's how my work usually looks like.

That's my dream job! I'm an introvert too and studied affiliate marketing for months now. Even tried it with little success. What kind of offers do you promote? Do you have some tips for a beginner? My first goal is making $300/month with my sites.

Funny you mention those two niches. Health and money are the two of the three biggest industries in aff marketing. The third is dating.
90% of money is made in those 3 sectors. Things to get them healthier. Things to make them money. And things to get them laid. It's all the majority of people online care about. It makes sense in the online world to market to where there most people are.
Affiliate marketers don't exactly have the best reputation. (At least we're better than MLM'ers). You don't want to be one of those guys telling people they have a virus on their phone when they really don't. Or sell pills with questionable benefits. I understand.
You can make money without being deceptive.
One of my friends made a lot of cash promoting the Uber app. Another friend is making money selling t-shirts on Facebook.
Lead gen, t-shirts, e-commerce, gaming, software, and much more are relatively clean niches you can work with. Remember that's only part of the equation. The other part is you. It's completely up to you how you wanna promote these offers.
Think of it as body building. Imagine your a natural body builder but oyu want to COMPLETE in contests against other guys who are using steroids. You're playing their game. Of course you're going to lose. But by being 100% natural can be a benefit if you complete in your own lane.

*complete=compete

Did you start off at that website or did you get a reputation beforehand?

I started with another website, a bit similar in nature. That was a good entry, because they only required to do a test for them and if you were good enough you got access to a job dashboard where you could find work. Very low rates, though. I then wrote up a fake CV for the first few months and applied for individual jobs somewhere else, that's where I started getting private clients from. After 1 year or so I got the necessary experience to write a real CV, got a website and a lot of profiles at relevant places.

However, I also read a couple of books about the industry before I really started and the first 6 months were not so profitable, like 200-500$/month. It all grows over time.

Oh, yeah, the first people I started working for were actually Pajeets and Chinks, I should mention. So you really start out in the dog arena.

Biggest tip is don't give up. It took me longer than I want to admit to have things "click" and turn profitable.
$300 a month is just $10 a day. Talk to your AM (affiliate manager) and see what's hot and get traffic strategies within your budget. They want to help you because more money you make, the bigger their bonus is.

How many languages do you translate from/to?

everyone hates their job unless:

instagramer
no talent youtuber (playing videogames)
blogger
high pay pornstar
race car driver

not much else

if you dont agree you are coping, your job is boring

Cool, I guess you say that instead of competing with paying advertisers you should take a different approach, like personal blogs and reviews.
But I still don't understand why you can't say what you promote, it's not like you're the only one who's doing that.
It's porn, isn't it?

Youtube is pretty saturated. Pretty much everyone copies each other and theres always some bs drama.

I'm sure most of those fuckers are depressed and want to die.

Russian, English, and German. Mostly English > German, Russian > German, Russian > English.

My first niche was ceiling fans. My thought was 'everyone has a ceiling fan, this is going to work'. So I made a ceiling fan info site, put on some adsense banners. It flopped.
Later I found some legit affiliate networks (stay away from adcents unless you know what you're doing) and started pushing adult dating offers. Hookup sites. On competitors hookup sites. It worked well. Very well in fact I was getting multiple conversions every hour. The immediate profit I saw hooked me to affiliate marketing. There's still a lot of money to be made in adult//porn.

what about professional hitmen and astronauts

fuckin dumbass

How passive is the income in AM really? Once you are into it, do you really only have to start a few campaigns a month and that's it? Or do you have to monitor niches, search for good info etc.?

I don't have much time to do something extra (translator guy ITT), but some semi-passive income would be nice. Can you maybe link some informative material for noobs? I did Google already, but you mostly get Clickbait shit as a result and people promoting their own referrals.

>How passive is the income in AM really?
Depends on many variables.

Promote an offer that's a monthly/yearly subscription model that pays you revshare. That's the easiest way for passive income. Once you get the customer, they keep paying you for the life of the customer every month.

There's nothing passive about getting started. There's a lot to learn and a lot of errors you'll make and you'll likely lose money. Managing campaigns isn't as easy as "set it and forget it". Especially PPC campaigns. SEO is more like that, but it takes a several weeks to rank where you want to. But once you rank, you're set for a while.

My friend ranked for "windows 7 activator" some years ago. He had a simple site ranking #1 for that keyword on Google. He hosted the file on a pay-per-download network that paid him every time someone downloaded. It earned him a consistent $300 a day for several months, almost a year. It took no work aside from the initial website creation and ranking process. Eventually google ranking algorithms changed, he lost his ranking, and his primary money maker.

Thanks a lot. How about forums or blogs where I could read about essentials? Never mind if you want to keep your business secrets, but it'll take a lot of googling to find the right sources myself.

I'm a machinist. It's the family business. It was literally the last thing I ever wanted to do. I used to make a decent enough living selling on EBay, but the Bush recession and EBay's bullshit made it get to the point that it wasn't worth the trouble to me anymore. Plus I had some personal issues that basically turned my life to shit, and I just didn't have the energy or desire to continue. The problem was that I basically had a five year gap in my employment record, as being self-employed doesn't impress anyone when you're looking for a job--prior to that I'd just worked fast food.

So my grandpa offered to let me come work for him, and my uncle taught me nearly everything I know about it. I quickly realized that I love this kind of work. It's not glamorous, but it pays decently. It can be tedious and boring, but it's often mentally and physically challenging, and at the end of the day I feel like I've actually produced something useful and worthwhile--pic related.

I just wish I had of gotten into it much sooner. I'm planning on learning gunsmithing. Technically it's not much different than the sort of stuff I already do, but I need to be licensed (because prison and heavy fines don't sound appealing to me), so I need to obtain some academic credentials first. That's just a formality though.

blackhatworld is the best free forum. i never liked warriorforum. there's dozens of other forums. these are two of the biggest. charles ngo has a good site. it's more of a blog with pro tips. he made his own free program for noobies it could be worth your time.
then there's paid forums like stackthatmoney (i think it's $99/month). i never paid for them since i already have a good amount of knowledge. i've seen them recommended time to time for years by some super affiliates. i don't know how noob friendly they are though. i imagine most things there would be over the heads of beginners.

How can I make money and drive traffic to previoustaxpayer.com?

Just started a few weeks ago but I want to get more content up and start driving real traffic. I've made $5 so far from adsense with little to no marketing outside of posting to twitter a few times a day

Aye. I will do some research and look if I can experiment a little, thanks for your time explaining and the tipps.

Kinda both?

Want freedom from wagecuckery.

But also work by myself and if things are slow i can do wtf i want. Im putting a gas tank in my car and building a pen for my puppers this week. ;)

>mfw i get a job running a loader by myself.
>mfw guy delivers loader.
>mfw i learned how to run a loader from youtube.

Kek.

Looking back on it i'm doing alright tho. Still trying to fuckoff with my bad habbits tho. Didnt even know about the kickouts on it till after 1 year. Here it is 2.5 years in and to this day i hate loaders with faggot steering wheels. Gayest fucking bullshit ever.

Lol. School kids right? Fuckem. Go work nights at a factory

What u do?

Lol. Hitmen are crazy and astronauts have to drink piss. Suck a dick user.

I only ever had one job I was really proud of.

Had to leave because I was underpaid. Yeah yeah, I know, nobody's ever underpaid. Outperform 100 Indians and see if you still think that.

Anyway, every job since has been stifling trash. I do the bare minimum and daydream because that's good enough. Soon as I finish a few personal projects I'm done with the rat race.

I would like my job if it wasnt in colorado with their shit break law that can get me fired if I dont have exactly 30 minutes of break.
