Which is the best Armored Core game for the PSP and beginners? Armored Core 3 seemed like a good place to start, but has really bad reviews.

Challenge is only part of the problem.
99% of the time, you have very little control over which bosses are available to fight. You won't get to choose the boss you get. You can influence the odds and you can exit the briefing screen to try again, but sometimes the game just doesn't cooperate.
If you ever run into players, you can't exit that briefing screen, so that was a waste of six box runs.
You also more or less need players for almost all of them. If you're good enough at the game, you can theoretically solo all of them, but I honestly don't see that happening on two of them, three more are crapshoots to try and solo, and one just takes a lot of skill and the right setup (and even then, if you screw up the approach you're done).
I'd say logistics is your biggest threat here. Getting players to help out, ideally three others. Getting players that actually know how to run these bosses. Not running into other players when you're trying to get bosses. Trying to estimate when boss rush is so you can get the most work done. It's all very bothersome.

Collared is never going to approve a single brick of that wall being paid for, since even if it was built it would just raise prices for all the AC parts when it drops the League currency from inflation.

Soon all those lynx who wanted the wall are going to end up without jobs and unable to pay their bills because they can't afford repair costs to their ACs anymore.

AC3 is one of the best games on PS2, most of the PSP reviews are bad because of the limited controls and the fact that it's not much better than the PS2 version.

Actually, by checking territories and using defend/attack region settings you can narrow the bosses chance of getting the one you want very easily, by setting your territory to one you've already fought, and attacking a faction that has a territory with one you are fighting.

The only problem is when a) there are two territories you're attacking and verdict war is preferring the one with a boss you have already beaten and b) the territory you want to fight is already eliminated from the map, or is on your faction when the war starts. In those situations you have to wait a week for the next season.

If you get all the guesswork done right, it's possible to accomplish all 6 bosses in about 3 weeks if you plan accordingly, or merc with people on other factions.

If only memes could stop recessions and bombs. A bunch of angry midwest rust belt voters just fucked the US economy in the ass in hopes that they'll get better jobs

When it was clear that we needed to change, we grabbed our guns and went to war. We saw insiders and outsiders, irregulars and dominants. Some of them were nice, and some of them scared us. Some of those ACs were built robust, but would never make it to the battlefield in one piece, and some of them were high tech but could crumble under pressure. So we made a decision.

We could have taken the corporate path, Supported Wynne D. and her attempts to shut down the rebellion against the establishment. We would have had to live with maintaining the status quo, keeping the cradles of the wealthy afloat in the sky. Slow, gradual change, and compromise on our demands for the greater good.

Or we could have taken the socialist rebellion, siding with Thermidor, an ex-establishment old leader with charisma and style. But he was too uncompromising, too good for this world, and was beaten down by the very establishment we wanted to change. He would never have survived on the inside, and we knew it, once we realized that he was really just Otsdarva after all.

So instead we chose the destruction path. We Chose Old King, we ignored his mission briefing, we ignored his insurgency. We even ignored the fact that we fought him before and won. We knew that it was fine, because we were in control. We had the power now, we had the best AC, we had the weapons, we were the #1 Lynx and no matter what, no one was going to stop us from deciding the fate of the corporations.

Because when we're playing the game, we imagine ourselves as Strayed, shooting down the cradles, then overcoming the establishment. Unlimited power, the ability to throw a firebomb into the lap of those who don't care about us.

Because we think we are the weapon. We think we are Strayed. We don't care what happens to the normals, because we're winners, tremendous winners who succeed at everything no matter what the other 'losers' say. Other LYNX and corporations are just pawns for us to play and the destroy when they stop listening to us.

But the fact is, none of us are the Lynx in that story.

We're the normals.

We're the ones who have to work on the battlefield are put in harms way when conflict arises. We can't sit in the cradles, we can't pilot the ACs, we don't have the power or wealth, and maybe we never will have it. We were so jealous of the wealthy in their cradles, that we forgot why humanity needed that peace. We turned to someone we didn't fully understand, a liar, a mad dog, a flip-flopping loudmouthed bigot that embodied everything we hated about the wealthy corporations. But we listened to him, because he promised to listen to us. He promised to make a world great again for the normals, no matter how nonsensical his plan was. We didn't mind that he lied so much, because at least we know they were obvious lies and not hidden ones. He lied and lied and lied and we didn't care, because Wynne D. was off on a righteous crusade and Therimidor was busy with his revolutionaries. They weren't paying attention the normals.

So we gave Strayed to Old King. We wanted to see what he would do with that power. We sat in our little GA03-SOLARWIND normals proudly while the most powerful weapon in the world ran unopposed.

We forgot that we're cannon fodder, and we just gave Old King the cannon. Let's pray that before 120 million rain from the sky, we set our differences aside and send the 5 Lynx to stop him. Let's pray for answer.

Why wasn't Line Ark destroyed at the beginning of the game? White Glint was out on another mission. With this information on hand Line Ark should have turned to nothingness.

I think the briefing mentioned that they were trying to force Line Ark back to the negotiating table with a show of force, so the objective wasn't to destroy them at all.

Also, if they straight up destroy Line Ark but not White Glint, there's no guarantee Anatolia's Merc won't go full Strayed and just start blowing up cradles in retaliation. They had to destroy both the HQ and White Glint in a single battle to feel safe.

Blah, if they don't want to negotiate then they've already given their answer. Destroying them was the best choice.
