The RX7 doesn't attempt to be anything that concerns the Supra. The RX7 has perfect weight distribution, is lightweight, and has godlike suspension. It's a driver's car. It was built for the corners.

The Supra is a luxury grand tourer. It's heavy and fast in a straight line. While it handles decently enough around corners, it's not a nimble car by any means, and it's a shit track car. Definitely good for highway pulls and straight line stability, but nothing more.

I bet you my FC burns less oil than any generation Supra with more than 100k miles.

It has a pretty standard double wishbone suspension, actually.
The FD's is a bit more modern and sophisticated, despite being an older car, being lighter weight and just a higher end looking design. Just look at the subframes and a-arms for both cars and it should be clear even if you don't really know what you're looking at.
But double wishbone is double wishbone.

The FD handling better mostly comes down to its more sophisticated front and rear subframes, it being 50:50 balanced, lighter weight, having better feel, and having a chassis that's twice as stiff as most cars at the time.

But yeah, The Supra is a GT car. I don't get how people try to argue otherwise.
