LDS is the largest single organization on the planet.

There's a Mormon church in my neighborhood, tho less than 1% of people from my country choose to change their religion.
Don't know much about them, other than what i've seen on South Park.
But i think they can't be bad people.
Last year grandpa had a stroke, and when i visited him in the hospital i saw a bunch of wheelchairs donated by Mormons.
So, they have my respect.

i actually grew up around a lot of mormons, and yeah they can be pretty generous. i used to have a couple of mormon friends, and i wouldn't even remember they were mormon till they repeated some ignorant trite from the book of mormon about whatever situation

Anyways, Mormons are nice people in general but have a lot of strange ideas. Most of the American ones live in Utah or southern Idaho.

In very basic terms, they believe that North America was settled by a lost tribe of Israel and Joseph Smith found a bunch of ancient writings that told him about what true church should be. To Mormons, God lives on an alien planet and when Mormons die they also get their own planet and become God.

Jehova's Witnesses are aren't much similar besides being sort of cult-ish in founding and organization. JWs started off as an apocalyptic movement which preached a drastic reorganization of the church to prepare for the upcoming apocalypse (with only a small number of people to be saved). After incorrectly predicting the apocalypse a number of times, they declared it had already happened in heaven and we didn't notice. Members need to be austere about things, due to some weird interpretations of the Bible, for example, no celebration of holidays.
