Orvius is a shit weapon.
Yes, you suspend a single enemy for a few seconds, get a few shots on them, and have no actual good melee.
Or you could play Vauban and lift EVERYONE for longer and use something that won't do shit for damage.
Mastery Fodder locked behind a quest that took too long to release.

Broken Scepter's Gimmick at least has more use and you get it pre-potatoed, too, but it isn't that strong.

The Twin Rogga is strong stuff, but limited with the constant reloading.

The Zarr pretty much is the Stradavar.

Kesheg may have high base damage, but is slow, and not sure if better than Lesion.

So, what are your guys opinions on these weapons?

Riven mods have the potential to be a good thing. As soon as DE makes it so that they are more rare for "meta" weapons they will accomplish their goal. We will be able to use previously shitty weapons in high level content because of riven mods.

his point against riven mods not being necessary to make top tier guns better kinda sidesteps the point, and there is definitely potential for interesting things using just raw numbers given the stat combinations that can exist on riven mods that don't exist on nightmare or corrupted mods.

For fucks sake, "more rare" doesn't change a thing. It just means that it takes longer for the meta to reach the same point we're at now again. What the fuck is the point if the balance isn't permanent? Right, there is none.
Riven mods were a mistake. All those buffs should have been made innate in a sweeping buff wave for all those old weapons, but DE can't monetize that shit and claim its new content, so they go with slot machine RNG pretending to want more weapons to be viable. If they did they'd ignore any investment players made in their weapons, scrap all stats and balance every weapon from the ground up.

either way, I'll educate you on why Riven mods are, currently, pretty goddamn stupid.

1) Riven mods can ONLY be acquired by one chance daily RNG from a pool of rewards notorious for being shittily weighted. (Outside of being bought)

2) The mods themselves are incredibly unlikely to give you what you want weapon wise, which isn't rerollable, and even less likely to give you what you want statwise, I'm not a math wiz, but I can tell you that the possible combinations of stat modifiers alone is fucking absurd.

3) Rerolling the damn things gets too expensive VERY quickly, 10 rerolls in is 10900 kuva, that's fucking ridiculous.

4) It's literally a cash grab scam to get people to spend stupid amounts of plat buying mods from people who got lucky, I'm not talking like stalker acolyte mods where you had to be there for the event, I'm talking a fucking shot in the dark with the person you want to shoot being shuffled in three spots between your parents lucky.

And finally (This is an opinion, mainly because it doesn't have a ton of solid basis), I'm convinced this is scott's lazy ass solution to fixing all the garbage weapons in the game that are effectively useless, while also making the already broken good weapons EVEN MORE broken.
