"F-150"

>"F-150"
>it's not a 1.5 litre

Why do americans do this?

Because we're not autistic enough to have to put the engine displacement in the vehicle's name?

>Mercedes 4matic
>it's not a 4.0 litre

Why do germans do this?

>L573l
Merc with wooden inlay dash
>S378f
Dash and an extra cup holder
>G572295ie
Dash, cup holder, and sat nav cause thats important now everyone has a fucking cell phone
>T8562i574f747ll kompersssora
Uhhh, fuck...a button that that closes the glove box for you. How bout that.

Why do yuropoors do this?

germans are autistic and clever enough to sell something with german word on it for a huge price

150 (or 1500 for Dodge and GM) mean "half ton truck" but the trucks have long since exceeded that rating

IS BAIT?

150 indicates a 1/4 ton load capacity over the axle.

whoopps imdumb
listen to this user

Doesnt that just mean a 4 speed auto? whats so special about that? why does every goddamn merc have it on the back?

Back then it would designate the truck as a half ton, and so on.
So 1500, 2500, 3500, ect.

Has nothing to do with displacement. Just the size of the truck. Mopar does this with 100,200,300, and GM does the same as ford with numbering.

Back when a 4-speed automatic was special, Mercedes used a 4matic as a brand. Now 4matic is the name they give any of their automatic transmissions because of the long-running 4matic badge. It's basically a prestige thing.

>150 or 1500 = 1/2 ton
Wtf kinda wizard math is this?

The big question is.. What does the "F" really stand for? Is that a code name for it's platform or does it simply mean "Ford"

I believe that it now designates he vehicles as all wheel drive

fragile

>zl1
Slower than the rxc turbo

Gm fangirls so fucking mad rn

Oh hi taxi.

It's 150 cubic inches dumbass

Did gm fangirls ragequit already?

100 or 1000 pounds = 1/2 ton
Add a 50 means up-trim. Then the base 100 designations were dropped in the 1970's because of sales pressures.

>GT350R

Slower than a ZL1

I'm not sure how GM fangurls can still post on this board.

They've been shitposted into perma BTFO status.

Rxc turbo is faster
Me neither

4 matic actually means 4 wheel drive

>G572295ie
>it's not a 572,295l

>4matic
>Not a 4spd slushbox
I don't get it.
>BMW 750li
>not a 7.5 liter

>Mazda 6
>Not the 6th gen of anything

>e39 540i is actually 4.4
>E23 745i is a boosted 3.5
>E90 335i is a boosted 3.0

Ford Truck actually
Same as a C-10
(half ton Chevrolet Truck)

>Saturn L1
>not a 1.0l

>Saturn L1
>doesn't have a 1 cylinder engine

>Saturn L1
>not made on Saturn

Mazda 6 is for six doors.

>E23
>E90
>Boosted

>E39 M5 is a 4.9
