Driving literally anything other than a V8

>driving literally anything other than a V8
>not having that glorious flat powerband
seriously how do people live with less than 8 cylinders?

I recently went from DDing a '97 nissan POS to an chebby 350 TPI.
Take your mpgs and shove em'

...

>mfw DD a 1cyl
suck my ass my nigg

because I don't want my performance car sounding like a tractor

>because I don't want my performance car sounding like a tractor
Without a V8 it's not a performance car

Why are you Americans so obssessed with crude, noisy muscle cars?

I know v8s are objectively good but I just don't like how they sound

>babbys first V8

Because we can. Why are people who arent American so obsessed with Americans?

Check yourself b4 you rekt urself mate

>inb4 "niggity nigger"

most American V8s are boring to drive tbqh

they sound like shit and feel lazy

your V8 is simply quite useless in the enviroment you are in most of the time, which is slow city traffic, enjoy your burned clutch and worst than bad fuel economy

>enjoy your burned clutch
U wot? When you have almost 600lbft of torque you can start rolling in 2nd with no gas easily if you wanted. Way less wear on the clutch. Gas mileage is shit though true.

torque is a result of applying gas, it doesnt appear out of thin air magically

its easier to live with 4 cylinders because its a lot cheaper.

doesn't matter how much money you have, its still equally expensive to drive to work every day in pigfat

also, stating in any gear higher than 1st will always result in more wear on the clutch, unless we're talking conditions with litle grip like snow or ice

>torque doesn't appear out of thin air magically
With a V8 it does
>tfw I can idle uphill with my automatic

You do know there is a gas flow to the engine with no press of the throttle right? Right?

Thus even at an idle the engine is making torque.

>flat powerband
>not glorious god tier inline-6

beta numale cuck detected

>can start rolling with no gas
>there is gas flow on idle
you do realise the higher the gear the more torque you need therefor you're needing more gas and you're slpiing your clutch wearing it down, fucking americans that never have driven stick

Agree. Growing up, my mom was brainwashed that RWDs were fundamentally more dangerous and V8s encouraged unsafe driving and automatics were easier for beginning drivers. Now I buy my own cars and I have two RWD V8 5 speeds and I even finally got my wife driving a longitudinal V8. Full on V8 family. They're just so much simpler and less stressed than anything else.

Flat power bands are boring as shit.

give me a high revving engine with a turbo the spools at about 4000 rpm any day.

Amazing comeback

Holy shit, someone actually made a mustang ii appealing. Muh dikk

>gtr 16/22 mpg
>565hp/467tq
>z06 15/22 mpg
>650hp/650tq
>???

Racecar is faster around a track than a pedestrian car? You don't fucking say.

It's an Equus bass

>Gtr twin turbo
>565hp
>Z06 NA
>650hp
>???

reflection of self

The current Z06 is supercharged.

Also
>GTR 3.8l
>565hp
>Z06 6.2l
>650hp

Because the number of cylinders doesn't matter at all. My father had a BMW 535 with a V8, it was very boring to drive, and I got bad conscious every time I drove it because it was so wasteful.
Thank god for cheap, light, nimble and fuel efficient shitboxes.

I like straight 6s boi

Nope
hotrod.com/articles/a-1978-mustang-ii-worthy-of-our-affection/

This. My work truck has nice smooth power that lets me overtake anything on the road. But I wouldn't call them fun engines.

>I got bad conscious every time I drove it because it was so wasteful.
Cuckimus Supremus

Everyone point and laugh

Found gm's marketing team

fuck yeh straight up 180 and 360's aussie pride way to do burnouts on a small narrow street and a perfect location fuck the neighbors its australia we have the right to do this shit its a free country and a perfect time and nice control love it aussie style good on ya mate

I've always wanted a mustang GT or some cheap, reliable v8 for a fun car. I daily a Mazdaspeed 3 and a turbo 4 sounds amazing, but theres nothing like the grunt & grumble of a crossplane V8.

I actually feel sorry for people without v8s
like how could you even go through life like that idk.
Especially when it comes to trucks. and 4x4.

the GTR is a performance car
there are many performance cars with i6's too

>Suggests starting in a higher gear to reduce clutch wear

Are you retarded?

>flat powerband
Most boring thing ever. Nothing beats hearing a turbo spool like a jet engine and then flying off. Inline 6 turbo a best

FELIX WANKEL WAS AN UNAPPRECIATED GENIUS

That's why my V8 has more torque at idle than your I6 has at all.

>Someone took time to draw this
There is a God

>having pride for literally nothing
National pride is a joke.

This guy shoehored the Triton V10 in there. Fucking legend.

You mean like what BMW make?
Up until like 10 years ago BMW didn't turbocharge anything because they didn't want to make engines with lag. Now they say turbo technology has advanced enough to eliminate lag which is why they use them. The lag is still perceptible but there's not much really.

Actually liking laggy turbos though? It's like you just started driving and haven't experienced decent power except from a turbo. When I first drove a car that hit boost at 3500 I thought it was mad fun too

>BMW 535
>V8

pick one

>muh low end v8 power huur duur
yeah right sure thing

>driving literally anything other than a v12
>not having that perfectly balanced flat powerband

Seriously how do people live with less than 12 cylinders?

>driving pisshit at all

Firstly I'm not American
Secondly I DD a high torque manual, I don't need to to apply any gas to shift into 1st, my car literally cannot stall unless it is a really steep hill.
THIRD, I never said anything about any gears after first. all I was doing was pointing out a flaw in your logic. But that's a nice strawman you made.

yes it sounds weird but I absolutely love laggy turbos. And no I have two cars, one that is a 4L I6 N/a (ford barra) and a 2litre I6 Turbo (rb20det). The 2 litre is way more fun waiting for the turbo to spool and then taking off. For example in this video : youtu.be/0vh8UycCxPo

There never has been any BMW x35i with a V8. 3.5l is a bit small for a v8. BMWs smallest Vs are x40i at the smallest.

3.5 dodge chargers with no stability control are mad drift machines. Couldnt afford feeding a v8 when all i use my car for is drifting and the fact that these engines shuts off 4 cylinders for "fuel economy" is a huge turn off

Boxer engine
That is all

>Designed to reduce center of gravity height
>Entire engine has to be raised up to clear the pan and manifolds
>Center of gravity is actually higher than an inline engine
>Maintenance becomes a nightmare
"No."

i hope this is b8

What's the E39 535i?

Kys

A cummins has more torque than your v8 gas ever could dream of

A lot of people don't see the inspiration in the new models for some reason. But yeah I get where you're coming from the mustang 2 was always like the ugly stepchild of the generations

>e34 535i
>to be had with both i6 and v8 depending on facelift or not

pick two

>Garbage Motors Literally Shit 1 engine

lmao

senpai

>2.4 more liters
>65 more HP
>stoopidcharger

Lol

My old ass dodge truck with a 360 v8 still runs with these new little import sports cars. And when it hits them. Well...let's just say they usually need a row truck.
Gas milage? who cares. American iron terrorizing the streets of America is more important.
Hope to meet your import at a red light sometime.

Have you heard of torque? its quite nice

Indeed, 220 hp out of a 1.3l n.a. is insane.

Fuck jap cars

>no intake or exhaust manifolds on doritos
nice bait

>yurops finest zillion dollar w16 with 4 turbos
>cant keep up with jimmies ls v8

v8 for the win

Who needs high peak torque if you have a good power/weight ratio and a wide powerband?
These arenĀ“t heavy either since you only have 4 port for Intake and 4 for exuast.

Most tractors are I4 or I6. Educate yourself summer friend.

except that us of a didnt build their own car from scratch but modified an european car

Lol
This

which is why you want a V8

>inline 4 cylinder or 6
>not the most common tractor configuration

mostly diesel 4 cylinders and gas conversions

>fun car is a '99 LS1 V8 Pontiac Trans Am
>340+ ft lb torque 300+ hp

>daily drive 60 hp 4 cyl honda HF civic

It makes the V8 that much better to drive.
>that feel when 0-60 in less than 5 sec

when your other car does 0-60 in 20 seconds, its a big fucking difference

>0-40 not even redline 1st gear
>in like 2- seconds

and that's a """slow""" only 320hp muscle car. i can't even fucking fathom how fast a hellcat or gt500 is

>not even a single piece is the same

its not even the same wheelbase or width or anything. fuck yourself eurodouche

the main difference is muscle owners are strong alpha males and rotary guys are some wierd looking old faggots who lick scrotum

>the main difference is muscle owners are strong alpha males
lol, you mean pudgy old men suffering from erectile dysfunction

>seriously how do people live with less than 8 cylinders?
By driving better, keeping the car in a high RPM when boosting and then downshifting when it falls out of high RPM.

>Americans can't drive so they need a V8 so when choo-choo foot goes flat in their auto, they go zoom zoom

>drive 1.6l n/a suzuki and 1.5l n/a honda
>be american

>not an elitist eurofag who thinks 325 million Americans are all the same

>Not an american who thinks the only people that hate his country & people are europeans and not the entire world
>Not driving a 25det neo swap r32 because superior RHD country

like anyone can daily drive the radical

Who gives a shit about those numbers

the only important one is skid pad g's which the nisturd and porsche fail miserably.

>z06
1.15
>nizmoo
1.02 fucking .13 lower my fucking barge could outhandle it
>9/11
1.07g .8 behind the z06

get rekt gm haters

you couldn't daily drive the corvette either because it'd blow the engine every 6 miles

People who like American performance cars drive the Mustangs/Corvettes/whatever they like.

People who like Euro and Jap performance cars benchrace on Veeky Forums next to posters of the cars they like.

>Kys
I hope your whole family dies a violent and bloody death and i hope your mom gets gonorrhea and burns in hell you son of a whore

OK first off, fuck off you are an idiot

Secondly, my ls2 has 550 nm torque. A 6bt with bosch VE pump has 542 nm torque.
Checkmate, atheists.

kek BTFO

Venom is not a production car, is a tunned Lotus.

>skidpad
>important

It matters if you plan on driving on a Nascar track for the rest of your life.

BOOST
They do it with boost.
