Does anyone else prefer column shifters?
Does anyone else prefer column shifters?
>automatic
>""""""""shifter"""""""""
No, I had one in my 87 Monte and I fucking hated it
No, they're dogshit. They're just for cucked trucks.
>tfw bench seat + column shifter
It's going to be really hard switching to something else.
I have never used one in my life and the concept still seems very strange
Column shift is the only acceptable answer if you drive automatic.
>87 Monte
I think I found the real reason why you hated it, user.
Nah, I would have liked a floor shifter in the SS, but I had to have the shitty LS 305
only if it's manual
Jesus, I would love driving this. What car is this in?
what, what the fuck
Always wanted a manual on the column
This would probably be fun for a while
Land barges, too. Can't have it on the floor if you've got a seven foot wide bench seat!
>5 on the tree
Imagine drifting this monstrosity.
>can't have it on the floor with a bench seat
Pussy, my stick it so fucking tall.
I love that this exists
easily the best type of car to receive road head in
That just means your bench isn't big enough.
There is no reason for an automatic to take up center console space like a manual, and I prefer the satisfying motion of shifting into D for Dad as oppose to PRND buttons.
Column shifters can stay
>5 on the tree
Well, gentelmen, there goes "no fap November"
>D for Dad
Kek
Bench in an 7.3L F350 with a 4' stick gets me rock hard
I do, I think they are neat. It's like in driving a truck but I'm really in a comfy landbarge. Plus the shifter in the column opens the option to having a bench seat. Good for sitting 6 people in a sedan, getting road head, carry more stuff, lounging out in the front, and it allows my five hundred pound uncle to ride in the front seat when I give him trips to the doctor.
...
Wait? its mirrored on RHD?
I've only seen one in my life.
Not much room to flap your arm around with a door in the way.
They do this with traditional gearsticks btw.
Yeah, It frees up space for my console.
>tfw I had a manual column shift
good times.
column shifters are important for drama faggots.
>so that's it then.
>GOODBYE.
>*rips shifter downwards, floors it and drives into the sunset*
>They do this with traditional gearsticks btw.
No they dont
THIS
I get flashbacks to the scene when Marty McFly accepts Flea's challenge in BTTF2 and Flea gets all pissy and rips the shifter into D
The best part about column shifters is the CHUCHUCHUNK as you row through the gears.
This. And if you don't have a bench seat, it gives you a lot more room for storage and more cupholders. Not sure why they don't put them in more automatic only cars.
>feelsgud
Forgot pic ofc
thats fucking depressing. Youre driving an impala and youre not even in burger
>what is a 3 speed
or 4 speed or 5 speed or 11 speed or whatever the fuck new autos come in
you still have to SHIFT out of park and into gear, i.e. dropping it in D for maximum respect
so true
