Reminder: Civ 6 is garbage

First.

And last

Reposting

Is any of the Endless Legend DLC necessary and can my shitty toaster even run it?

Why are you asking about DLC if you don't know if you can run the base game?

I have recently started playing Norway because I feel so bad playing against it.

Harald is being bullied in every single match that he spawn in.

Poor Harald dindu nuffin to deserve this.

So I don't have to make a second post if it turns out I can

I think it was the first game that I simply couldn't play.
My graphics card was so outdated that I couldn't even boot the game up.

Norway has shit bonuses desu

Whoops.

That game is pretty cool with mods.

Alright anons.

How do we fix naval combat in civ?

turn all ships into melee ships

Holy shit whoever thought up this increasing production cost for everything mechanic in VI needs to kill themselves. It has to be one of the most shitty unfun ideas I've seen in a modern game. I hope they patch this shit out in one of their next fixes, or give it a proper look at and think up something else less shitty for an expansion.

>whitebase
I always over extend/design for aesthetic and end up struggling through the first winter, I just can't help myself.

Also putting down stone roads before I can really afford them because they look nice.

Fix the AI so they get to naval warfare in nearly the same century as you do.

turn all ships into ranged ships

turn all ships into cannons

>tfw your country sucks shit in the only civ game it's been in

>try early war in Stellaris
>Corvettes can't even scratch spaceports
>even Destroyers with T2 kinetics and shields struggle badly
Guess I never try war before I get cruisers ever again. All I wanted was to make the Commander proud and purge aliens in the name of the XCOM Project

>being this bad

Is Stellaris still shit?

Yes and it always be shit.

>tfw diplomacy is simplistic and sucks and the AI denounces and declares war for the stupidest reasons
I just want to be Otto von Bismarck dammit

Just wait for the inevitable overhaul-of-one-aspect DLC, wich will hopefully be diplomacy

On another note, any way to get a list of all my units like in V?

I'm not very confident that they'll ever fix the shit AI, they never really did with that with the AI of V either

use torpedo
they are i blow this space port weapon

Not Fallout, not Metro...
Killzone, maybe?

turn all ships into workers so you can chop down more trees

Gone with the Blastwave

Which country is that, m9?

Norway

>tfw your country will never be in a civ game

Mmm?

I assume you were wondering where that picture came from?

The answer to your problem is the same as all military problems in Stellaris: build more ships. If you've got 30+ corvettes, you should be able to take out the 500 - power spaceports; yes you'll take losses, but that's a given with corvettes.
Alternatively, take the Military Dictator ethic so you can make Grand Destroyers, which at 1250 or so base health can tank most of the station's damage while your corvettes chew the station up.

I just couldn't recognize the soldier. I thought I could google it, but maybe it's indeed that webcomic.

>When you listen to Brazil's Civ 6 theme

youtube.com/watch?v=cT1y8Jh9ux4

fuck my life, forgot pic

Asked before but just in case I will ask again.
Hows Sins of a solar Empire? This game keeps me interested because the idea of space and strategy always liked me (Used to play a lot Ogame).
In the other thread some guy told me its really a rts, and that theres no campaign, just multiplayer. Do you guys comend it if its still a rts? Got no probs with that.

>Spain gets fucked by barbarians
>Now barbarian conquistadors are border jumping onto my territory, spain has no military to get rid of them
I'm about to just conquer that entire shithole just to get rid of this nuisance

More like Snoreway

Boreway

Bra vits

How long until I get comfortable with Endless Legends' mechanics?

It will run like a charm. I've got a GTX 720M and it runs at a silky smooth 30fps.

The DLC is mandatory.

Due to my extensive knowledge of your personality, habits and preference, I can say with absolute confidence that you will love it after completing 2 more games.

>warm reception
>burning with desire
>stoke the flames

anybody here play birth of the federation? just started and finding it fun as fuck, haven't played as anyone aside from the federation yet though

Well spotted. The dinner ends with an unexpected climax...

United Empire in 2 feels too generic.

LIVE!

Thanks?

I just completed my first game of Civ6.

Prince difficulty, Religious Victory with Gandhi.

Did I make a good choice?

Just complete the two games. Do it not for me but for yourself.
>not going for meme-apocalypse with Gandhi
You're ok.

Damn I forgot Image.

Playing Fall from Heaven 2...

What is it about octopus overlords that makes it so appealing to Basium?
And why do good factions go out of their way to found or convert to ashen veil?

...

Is there a tech or civic in civ that gives you housing for having medieval walls? I feel like I've seen one but I can find it and I might have just imagined it.

>that feel when literally never been in a civ game outside of mods

I know I live in a non country (Canada) but it would still be nice.

>Canada hasnt been in any Civ, not even DLC
>My small as fuck country has been in 3 Civ games
Fuels my dutch pride a little to be honest

thinking in civ terms because i don't really play the rest

Why is there no game option to cap a match at a certain era?

Like, why not let you start classical, then end in medieval. would let you really play around with your favorite era, and kinda alleviate (by removign) the whole "zip past an era before it makes a difference."
is that just too similar to a "research takes way longer but production doesn't" mod/mode?

Are non-domination vics possible on Deity or just no?

Dunno you could probably do it in a mod but I think it is too close for people to bother to make one.

Tell me about the Delvers. Why do they wear those masks?

Is there a good "research takes longer but production doesn't" mod? The couple I've found had some other bullshit thrown in or nerfed production anyway.

I just noticed the ES2 update. Did it significantly improve the game?
Not planning to fall for the EA meme myself, just wondering how fucked is ES2.

>entire ui is plaintext uml and lua

Neat. Turns out I can play solitaire after all if I just delete the line of lua that removes the 'remove player' buttons.

nexusmods.com/civilisationvi/mods/27/?
There's the option of 2x, 5x or 10x.
There's also one for civics and one for great people (or all three in one) by the same guy.

I've been using the 2x all in one and it's pretty good but you get in these weird situations in the early game where you haven't unlocked new things to build so you're just spitting out builder/settlers you really don't need.
It gets solved later on because you can just do the district boosts.

What would be a good government mechanic that appropriately represented forming/creating a government but still was "gamey" enough?

Like I was thinking something sort of like Civ 6, but where you gain slots the longer you have a government type enacted, and it takes a considerable amount of time to peacefully switch, you can switch right away though and have a period of anarchy.

the monarchy government

I stopped following Civ 6 days after it came out. Was there ever any patches to fix some cheats, or are we still waiting for it?

>cheats
Couldn't you just, like, not use them? I think Firaxis fixed some exploits already, but not all of them.

That guy was right, it is an rts and there's no campaign. It is really fun, though yeah, you're pretty much stuck with multiplayer

Skirmish/multiplayer only.

3 great factions, but with loyalist/rebels subfactions who are a little different (mostly defensive/offensive).

Lots of options (can use missiles launcher to painlessly take out defenses, or use bombers, or just go in and go in like the US marshall and his three daughter).

Space pirates that are meh but can help fuck the enemy up.

Pretty straightforward game, you see what you get.

>tfw already 131 hours in VI

hoooolieeee kit and caboodle, how the fuck did that happen

do you consider them to be time well spent?

probably wouldn't be 131 otherwise, yeah it's good, better than V

Sometimes I just want to find Brazil and listen to his music, there is a lot of civs with bad music in this game, but Brazil's god tier

>CIV VI
>Playing King for the first time as Japan
>Build 3 cities next to Rome
>Trajan is mad at first but becomes my friend
>Send all my envoys to Buenos Aires
>Spain declares war and conquers Buenos Aires
>Spain has the strongest military in the world
>Brazil is the weakest
>Gilgamesh is cucking Cleopatra, raping Teddy and making everyone Islamic
>Kongoman has 80 science per turn and a 100 technology's on turn 70
>Brazil is in last place on science
>Gilgamesh, who is in the other side of the huge ass round lake, decides to settle near me
>I go fucking mental and declare war on Spain and trick Cleopatra into going to war with Gilgamesh for some orange juice
>Teddy denounces me even tough he's in a war against Gilgamesh
>Pedro starts converting my cities so i declare war on him too
>After freeing Buenos Aires and Capturing Gilgamesh's city i decide to invade Pedro territory with my 5 Superior Samurai, 3 Crossbows and 2 catapults
>Pedro, who has the weakest military and is in last place on the science stuff has canons and infantry on turn 200
>I lose half of my cities to Spain and Brazil
>Trajan goes neutral
>Cleo denounces me
>Kombo's fucking african song wont stop playing as i get my ass devoured by Barbarians and Spain/Brazil
>Make a peace deal with Brazil
>He only accepts the treaty after giving me niter
>Kongo goes to space

>Kongo goes to space
WE WUZ

Are you playing regular FfH2 or submods? Because in some submods the leaders just randomly pick what religion they pick.

>Decius always picks Ashen Veil, even when he's Bannor or Malakim leader

Fucking why.

>losing a city on King

you are terrible at this game

>turn 778
>next turn
>M'bongo um Niggers turn
>crash
>oh no
>boot autosave and declare war
>next turn
>crash

oh boy, guess I wont be playing for a good week

firaxis is genuine trash-tier

It's okay, dear customer, a patch will fix it! So it's okay for it to be shit!

Why do district costs scale with techs/civics? I get that housing keeps population in check and amenities keep expansion in check. But settling a city in the late game to get oil etc. feels super bad. You can't build anything in it because districts take 40 turns.

Endless Legend and all DLC is on sale right now ;p

fuck you that's why
workers also scale

Because the game is made for environmental determinists.

WHERE ARE THE FUCKING MODS SID?

YOU SAID THERE WOULD BE MODS

Is there any way to force alien pops to emigrate from your empire? I've been using the intersterllar railroad event to slow drain all my alien pops, but I've got 300ish enslaved aliens so it's taking some time.

I could just purge them all, but really if I could just force them onto reservations somewhere that'd be fine. As it is, they're kind of distributed here and there around my empire, so I can't even give them vassalization.

you resettle them on some shithole and then release them.
need shit tom influence tho and free planets.

Knowing my luck, I will roll expansion victory on cultists.

Endless Space or Stellaris? or whatever the best space 4x game is out there?

already got endless legend?

>Endless Space
The second is on the way.

I'd suggest Distant Worlds.

there's a second one coming?

Are you living under a rock? Endless Space 2 is in beta right now.

Somewhat...I'm looking at the store page right now, worth getting even in beta or wait?

Has anyone actually managed to beat an awakened empire in Stellaris 1.3?

If so, please descend from on high to tell me how the fuck you did it.
