Yes. All models have a manual option. Though I've heard it's only about 10 to 15 percent of sales. GM is actually really good about keeping manual transmissions available on performance cars.

It's just a bit softer than the Z06 and has no supercharger. Otherwise it's pretty much the same car. Removing the supercharger solves a ton of problems though.

Every normal car overheats under vigorous track use. The ZO6 just gives up by exploding because it's not built to give out all that power.
The GS overheated just like any other sportscar on a track day.
