You seem lost, buddy.

I am actually laughing so fucking hard right now, good job.

Wrong board, but I like your flat sweet potato eater

We Veeky Forums-related now

Wrong board, dummy.

>/k/
You mean

youtube.com/watch?v=3WSe9ugpXIw

this caught me off guard since I was in the /ak/ thread on /a/

small world

Nah, Veeky Forums is close enough

...

Hi Veeky Forums, how's it going?

Tanks are transportation, right? They're a common means of going on fishing trips out in the sticks.

I do like tanks and I do like animus.

I still think you might be lost though bud

We can make it work

Im sure tanks are fine

I wish I could read those fucking moonrunes

Just replace them with the lyrics to Deja Vu. You'll be fine.

...

Yep gonna have to do that with everything from now on

...

Obviously, you've never been to /k/:

This thread was made when the old /a/ thread died. It's the /a/ /ak/ thread.

If this is on Veeky Forums then is it /ko/ instead of /ak/?

I go to /k/ on occasion, but these threads are usually on /a/

Upotte was fun though.

Madness. TALK like that will get you burned at the stake.

Probably more /a/ than /k/

Why not both?

It's /a-ok/

Wouldn't a jump like that destroy your spine? Or do Tanks have some kind of suspension?

>On a weeb site
>Drifting
> V12 glorious german engineering

Seems to be in the right place to me.

...

>Or do Tanks have some kind of suspension?

...

that show was so fucking based

that episode was great

Im sure its still rough as hell but yeah they do

Cromwells were fast af for their time and jumping made for a nice combat tactic to show off in front of Nazis so they built it with jumping in mind

/oak/

Very few early tanks didn't have suspension, but you'll still get a good rattling regardless.

The automotive aspects of tanks is very interesting. The Christie suspension used on the BT tanks, the T-34, and a few British cruiser tanks, including the Cromwell tank pictured above, was originally designed by J. Walter Christie for use in race cars that he eventually adapted into a few prototype tanks. Part of the original Christie design involves being able to remove the tracks, connect the driveshaft to the rear roadwheel, pop in a steering wheel, and drive the tank around like a car.

Do note that in those days tracks were easily broken and paved roads were few. So it does make sense.

The only tanks that could still do this during their production run were the BT tanks. The later T-34 tanks dropped this feature.

I'm actually somewhat surprised that there isn't an /ok/ thread that focuses on military vehicles. Sure technical specs are somewhat hard to come by, but I'm sure a video of a 42 ton T-80 doing some jumps would interest some people.

youtube.com/watch?v=YrhEZWha8C0

It does and I thank you for posting it

when you talk shit then a nigga comes in with some real knowledge

nice

just knew that the Cromwells had some nice shit going for it

>being able to remove the tracks, connect the driveshaft to the rear roadwheel, pop in a steering wheel, and drive the tank around like a car.
With no tires, how effective could that be?

Well it does have solid rubber tires (See pic.) that are much thicker than what was normal in that weight class. Also to note is that the main use of this Track-Wheel system was to allow tanks to travel on roads faster and without destroying them. All it needed to do was to grip some asphalt.

Uh no, every time there is an "/ak/" on /a/ it is always a GUP circlejerk until some person dumps a scan of something else. I mean "Girls und Panzer" is part of the thread title.

Also no updates on Ribbon Warrior, I mean what the fuck?

>diesel Fiat

Preview images were just posted now, lardagus is working on TL as we speak.

...

the rear sprocket can drive the rear most road wheel via an intermediate shaft

No no no, if we're gonna name it, we're gonna name it right: /ako/

As I recall, it was b-ko who had a pretty nice car in Project A-Ko.

>With no tires, how effective could that be?
That depends. Can you play the kantele?

>/ak/ thead on Veeky Forums
my sides would be less destroyed if GuP wasn't all about hybrids and drifting. This makes the thread be board-apropiate and kills my sides at the same time

>With no tires, how effective could that be?
Enough so the Krauts used captured ones as armored cars when they were obsolete as tanks

>Tanks are transportation, right?

This man is right, with a slight exception. All T-34s had christie suspension, while the T-44 moved over to torsion bars

also, when does the waifu war start?

This isn't what I was expecting to see when I got on Veeky Forums but I like it.

Um... I never mentioned T-44s.

Didn't Leopon team restore a fucking AE86 in their spare time
Could have sworn they were hooning it in the movie.

yes, but you said

>The later T-34 tanks dropped this feature

All T-34s had Christie suspension. Russians medium tanks went over to torsion bars with the introduction of the T-44. That's what i meant

nah, it was some larger 4 door sedan i think

close

>also, when does the waifu war start?

GuP has too many good girls for that shit

no it was a Z20 Soarer

Wrong board but those digits say you can stay

He's saying the T-34 could not be used like a BT with no track. And the T-44 was not a 'later T-34'.

well, i'm full of shit it seems. Thanks for filling me in though

Ooh. I was talking about the ability to remove the tracks and run the tank on wheels. The BT had it, the T-34 did not. Yeah, all the T-34s had Christie.

also, fund it

Post lewds

fuck, you're right. i have to stop drinking. Well, okay have some fluff at any rate

>vlcsnap

>GuP has too many good girls for that shit
Even the oba-san that lives next street from Mako's house is based and best girl

best tank(ette)

yeah

its one of the few shows I have difficulty picking a true favorite

i'm the guy who only takes screenshots on his phone when the battery is

while I cant pick a singular best girl

Anzio is best school

hmm, when it comes to small tanks, i've always been partial to this little fella. i blame WoT

This is the best accidental wrong board posting.

GuP on Veeky Forums and it's actually relevant.

What a world.

>Veeky Forums
>driving anything but ELCs
Dorifto for days and pens heavy tanks frontal lyrics. What's not to love?

>dat hp/ton ratio
>dat streamlined shape
>dat low CoG

ELC truly is a best

>i have 3 barrel rings on mine

it seems we have accidentally made an /ak/ thread better than the ones found on either /a/ or /k/. impressive

a CV is cute and smaller than a VW Beetle tho

operational effectiveness can take a back seat

Don't fire a shell too early

So what do we do when this thread dies? Have we found another home?
