i rode it like a year ago or so, i love that bike man, it was so fun and easy to ride.

i also rode the triumph thruxton which was the worst bike i have ever ridden to this day

How come the thruxton wasn't fun to ride.
Tried à w800 too, while we're on the "new old ones" almost fell asleep, god this bike's boring as hell.

I rode one on vacation in hawaii. Shit was fun.

>10 (you)s in 18 minutes

a new record

I sucked 6 dicks and copper 10 loads up the ass.

What should I do before starting and riding my dad's old XL 250R? I think it's a 1984-1987 model.

I've done the basics, replaced the oil and filter, cleaned the air filter, replaced the battery and inspected the fuel tank for rust.
The tank had a few small rust patches, but the filter should catch that right?
Do I have to do anything to the wheels or bearings? What should I do to the chain.
The bike has been sitting for 10 or so years.

Thanks.

i'm guessing you can't see out of them and it's quite disorienting.

Get. Off. My. TOOJ.

Stop slowing me down.

>How come the thruxton wasn't fun to ride.
its trash, its pure fucking trash, the brakes were pure SHIT, the engine was behavling like a cars engine. seirously, id didnt even accelerate, it just... kinda became faster with time. handling was fucking trash and the whole thing feels heavier than my ~95 hp diesel Benz

seriously i was never so bummed out by a bike. dont even buy one, please.

>mwf riding the thruxton

really makes you think, huh?

>be a faggot

its Austrian

So was hitler.

Reposting because no replies and bored.

CBR250RR (MC22) or RVF400 (MC30) for second bike?
Like the sound of the I4 and the lower weight, but like the bigger power of the V4. Parts (I think) would be more available for the 250 purely because there were more of them sold here (neither were grey imports).
Probs light commuting, track days, tackling local twisties (not too far away so no lengthy tours), etc.

...you dont like the Autobahn?

the RVF would be better on track days if only because it can be quite frustrating being severely down on power.

Imo though, the price differential between the two doesn't justify the RVF.

You could probably get an MC22 for the road an an old trackie for the same price as a reasonable RVF.

both bikes are apparently really small so if you're tall you'll look like a dog humping a tennis ball
also rvfs are fucking expensive because they're one of the more powerful lams bikes and also semi rare.
have you looked at the cb400? i4 and 400cc so you won't be revving the piss out of it compared to a mc22

Britfag here, planning on getting my bike license soonish, does anyone know a decent place to learn near Reading?

I've got a nasty gf who likes to give me rim jobs

RVF400 hands down just don't wreck it or I'd never forgive you. Excellent bike.

Post bike or rimjob vid you twat.

FUKKEN NOICE

both are excellent bikes. you can find parts for both on the Tyga webpage, lots of HONDA OEM shit too, just don't get a hideous tyga pointy nose

Nah, the CB400 is a little too boring for my tastes. The 19k redline on the RR just makes me smile every time.

I can sorta manage the price of both decently, but I guess the cheaper CBR250RR will leave more room for maybe handlebar risers to make the commute easier, other mods, etc.

there's no such thing as a boring motorcircle.

LAMS SV is a good option if you want something sporty that'll be friendly on commutes and long trips, has clip ons with risers and moderate rearsets already.

Now now user we're all gay here, no need to pretend.

Maybe not so much boring, just... Uninspiring? And something about the old Hondas just makes me want to go flog them on a track and have heaps of fun. I know there are better options, but it's the whole "buy the bike you want to fuck" thing

if you want to put risers on a 250rr I can already tell you're looking at the wrong bike

ahh, see I don't believe in that.

The SV isn't what I wanted, I think it's ugly, I wanted an I4 etc.

But it's the bike I need, I love riding it and that's all that matters.

once you start test riding and feeling out bikes you might change your mind, you never know. I had to rule out MC22s because I'm too tall for them.

>same language
>shared culture
>literally only difference is an imaginary line called by some jewrican in 1948

Not the S4m3 countri xD xD lel

Tomorrow I'm going to look at a used bike that's for sale. This will be my first bike and the first time I'm buying a vehicle on my own. I have no bike friend to bring along for help. So what needs to be on my checklist of things to be looked at?

So far I know I'm looking for the compliance plates, forks aren't bent or misaligned, front and rear suspension doesn't bottom out, spokes aren't damaged, tyres have some tread in them, cold starts, exhaust hasn't got any holes, levers and pedals feeling good, odometer hasn't been fiddled with, battery's not gross.

What else is a red flag to you?

chain condition
sprocket condition
warped discs
how well it starts
there, you're done

t. purchased many second hand bikes

Oh, I'm under no pretense that either bike is a tourer nor a commuter. Both would be a pain in the ass to ride for comfort (I use the bus frequently for my morning commute), I'm just thinking more in terms of suiting the bike to my proportions, height, etc.

Thank you, I wrote these on my list for tomorrow

If you buy an MC22 as your 2nd bike you should be doing it because the MC22 is a bona fide race replica twisty tearing, knee down machine, not because it's a relatively quick and zippy LAMS bike.
If it's an NSR250 that you're buying please don't crash it

Oh it's not I just save a lot of pictures from the JP bike twitterverse.

It's a CB250 from the 1990s I'm scouting out tomorrow.

New video from your inhouse vlogger.
Meme away lads

Can someone suggest an old, cheap bike that's
>light-ish
>plentyful aftermarket/parts
>fairly bulletproof
Optionals:
Dirt oriented
Comfy
Scooter
A E S T H E T I C

nx650

Great suggestion, but lower displacement is appreciated because insurance
Also scoot and nanny electronics would cut down on insurance

The one that let's you kill yourself the fastest.

XR400R
KDX200 / KDX 220 / KX250
250 EXC

>t. never been to austria nor germany

.t Ameritard

By your logic gun control would work in America because it worked in Australia.
Australia and America are basically the same country after all.

Stock peugeot xps
>1.5kw
>not boring

Gun control only works when nobody has a gun to begin with.

>implying
everyone and their dog had a gun in Australia before the recall

Should i?
I mean, it's basically free since i have enough points...

Funny thing is there are more guns in Australia now than there was before gun control.

but they're licensed

yeah but americans would have you think there are no guns in Australia any more and there were hardly ever many to begin with

Oh yea really? Wow I gues Australia is more progressive then I thought.

Do it

This doesn't seem too bad either

Should I get an XR650R for riding around the farm and hitting trails?
Probably wouldn't register it for road use, but I like having the option.

Kunk

Honda super cub

would wear desu
what catalogue?

Italian mall thingy

a buddy of mine has one and hes pretty happy with it, its a cool bike

Most funnestest LAMs sport tourer? lightweight is great, as is the 90s look. was inspired by MC22 and MC30 discussion.
gpx250 seems nice but a little underpowered.

>sport tourer
you already know it's the across

Across user?
Can you get me a photo of it without the pigfat side fairings

ex across user, I sold it recently. This is the best one I have on hand at the moment, I reckon it looks far better without the belly fairings

Oh god, it's so 90s and I want it to have 250cc more or have the insane engine of the 250 I4s

>tfw no ridiculously engined, tiny sport tourer with square/round headlights and thicc fairings
okay new question, why doesn't the exact bike that I want exist and if it does why do I not already know what it is and own it

another
>insane engine of the 250 i4s
it has the same engine as the GSX-R 250 and bandit 250

holy jesus fuck if i can find a YT vid of the sound and jizz everywhere, user, i owe you my life for finding me this bike (that everyone else probably already knew about)

look at the /wsg/ in about 5 mins

pls post link here as well bc im lazy af and hate browsing catalog
love you acrossanon

it's in the op of every /dbt/
