Forest in this game is like a blue snapcaster deck with cryptic command in magic the gathering. Ass loads of synergy super powerful combos and cards and answers for everything.
Players of this archetype will also insist it is the most skill intensive even though it consists of holding up mana and winning the game while all the so called linear decks have to carefully bait out the counter and conserve resources to even have a chance.
And compared to those decks in MtG forest is simpler still.

I'm not salty about control in fact i play a counter spell control deck in MtG. But in its heydey those cryptic command filled splinter twin decks were absolute cancer because of how they could attack and control from every angle, they could win with board control and win with a dumb combo. Which is where forest is right now.
