Ok i was wrong on the number of self-damage, does that negate everything else I said? Did you even read it?
My biggest point is that the current optimal way to play pyro isn't to play him as a damage dealer and that his airblast is his best weapon. How does having a weak secondary change that?

The roamer can't bomb the med without rockets, and a good pyro can melt scouts no problem. Hypothetically, a pyro could prevent the first two stickies from a kritzed demo from killing anyone, the first with an airburst det and the second from an airblast, but that's just theorycrafting

If anyone was actually dumb enough to not shoot at a pyro at all because theyre THAT paranoid of airblast, the mindgames have already won over them. Seriously, (You) didn't even read my post.
Either way, that situation is kinda rediculous and I can't see it happen; but if it were to happen it would still be in the pyro's team's favor. You'd be surprised how just being lit on fire can tick some players off real bad.

In a rather jarred environment like 6s, Pyro only would be there to escort Engineer imo. Flanking wouldn't be your thing. You don't have enough distraction to make flanking effective at all

Obviously Detonator won't be a good answer unless you can keep the high ground advantage. I'd either take Shotgun for a face-off or Scorch Shot to disorient them then.

If you don't det. rollout you'll get there way to slow to have an impact and be pretty much useless. It would be almost a 5v6 at that point.

When you waste $400, get lucky, or just spend the money you would have spent on opening crate to just buy keys to buy unusuals.

Just had this game on 2fort where the enemy team had a hacker and they refused to kick him. My team eventually grouped together and one or two people would sacrifice themselves so that others could pass and try to make their way to the hacker. Unfortunately, we still had to deal with the medics overhealing the hacker plus the whole enemy team. We lost, but the teamwork was 10/10.

Anyway, fuck this game and fuck Valve.
