Its not too terrible of a climb. All engrams have a decent chance at being an improvement in LL and strikes still drop things that will boost you.

There are fragments in challenge mode, you can't do those solo so you're wasting your time going in by yourself.

No, siva fragments are all outside of fights, but collecting them all does nothing.
