Is armor generally worth buying? Shit's kinda pricey for an SMT game (especially considering I have five people to outfit) but I haven't found much in the way of treasure since entering the alternate dimension.

So I'm 11 hours into SMT IV and This is my first real SMT game (I played Persona 1, 3, and 4) any tips because I suck super bad.
I'm at medusa right now and I was getting my ass kicked earlier.

Fuse something that resist gun
Fuse demons with Force spells
Don't have anything weak to Zio spells

How important is progress in tartarus? I'm having trouble making headway, as junpei and yukari seem to like taking turns being tired. I'm on floor 5 right now.

Should I wait for them to get better, or go in with just two people and try to make the best of it?

You'll have to climb it all eventually, and you need to travel all floors in the latest sector each month.

Progress is important, but it's not forced onto you until the last day of the game.

Let them rest since levels are more important than progress.

Always try to reach the highest floor available before a full moon, and don't worry, you have plenty of time to do it. As you keep progressing you will be able to do it in a single night.

I wouldn't recommend exploring Tartarus so early in the game with only two people, leave that until you have better Personas and items. As you progress, people will take longer to get tired.

Another protip is that you should NEVER explore Tartarus while you're tired, since you'll do a piss poor performance and it is easier for enemies to crit you.

You should be worrying about the bosses and your level, not the progress.

I don't know if you've been told this, or if you're too silly to figure it out, but there's a reason that "X days until full moon" is there.

Just let your party members rest and do as much tartarus when you can.

You always explore the dungeon at night, so it's not like it affects your schedules or anything. And whenever you don't go to Tartarus you can study to boost academics, or sleep early for better chances of recovering from fatigue/sickness.

The important thing to remember is that smirk is bullshit and SMT4 is random bullshit the game.

The other thing is that buffs and debuffs stack -3 to +3 and don't wear off. Many fights are buff wars with a side of combat late game.

Another thing, one demon in the area will evolve into something immune to every attack Medusa does. I forget what though and that takes one or so more levels than is "natural". So you might need to knock heads around there.

Finally Medusa is the last hard boss in the game.

I ran out of S-links to do at night by the beginning of the winter break, and I was not even using guides.

I always go up until I reach the block gate in a single night so I can spend the whole month doing night S-links or boosting stats.

Use demons of different alignments. Get the Dragon Ring. Be sure every demon nulls light and dark. Buff/debuff only to plus 1. Get concentrate from maya and dantalion and megidolaon the shit outta her.

Stop playing Persona and git gud.

They stop getting tired as fast when you level up and progress through the game, it becomes real easy to steamroll though a block.

They get tired when you're done. As long as you keep going in a single night you'll suffer no drawbacks of them getting fatigued.
