Midrange shaman can actually lose to other decks, including freeze mage. tier 0 deck rules the meta with an iron fist and you are GUARANTEED (not an exaggeration) to lose unless you are playing that deck, or the decks very specific counter

That depends. Post WOG Warrior was extremely meta, especially tempo/dragon. But up to the release of Karazhan Shaman was starting to reach top of tier 1

Sure but Patches wouldn't RULE it, Patches wouldn't massively increase your winrate like Aya does because Aya just shits out so many stats, he's just a really good card.

Honestly it's kind of a shame this expansion has so many legendaries like that, that are tiny and don't swing games and are more like Thalnos. I think it's good to have them, it just feels shitty spending 1600 dust to craft something that won't have much of an impact

The resource economy in Yu-Gi-Oh is completely different from in Hearthstone.

In YGO PoG made you draw two cards but it costs nothing to play cards in YGO since it doesn't use a mana resource system so it just made you automatically +1 with no penalty or restrictions. Which is why it got banned.

The equivalent in HS would be a 0 mana card that did the same thing as Arcane Intellect.

The two cards have the same extremely basic effect but the dynamics of the game they're played in make the implications of each card fundamentally different.

I'm using all my gold on arena, more fun and with a decent winrate you'll make more packs in the end and they'll all be MSoG ones anyway.

I'm missing all cards from Whispers, From Karazhan and several classic legendaries

And the new expansion is about to hit

Should I use those 4k gold only on gadgetzan cards? What would be the best distribution to make the most out of my gold?

It's essentially adding to the first pirate you play (Summon a 1/1 with charge, draw a card) which is super good. It also thins your deck down to 29 cards (less cards = better, see Mysterious Challenger for another example of deck thinning being super strong). Worst case scenario for patches is drawing it before you play a pirate

The ONLY reason you should buy packs instead of arena is if you either suck tremendous balls at arena or want a specific pack. Your rewards almost always out-value 150 gold buy-in already starting at 2 wins.

Good synergy. Think of things like Skycap'n Kragg. Playing a 1 mana pirate reduces his cost by 2. Or playing him with N'zoths first mate allows you to deal 2 damage to whatever cancer 1 drop the other guy played as well as effectively setting your deck to 29 cards

arena is better if you like it but if you just want to start doing constricted asap you're better off buying packs

Yeah I'm guessing as soon as people are starting to lose their shit about Reno rotating they'll introduce rotating core sets and add him to it, which is what every sensible person has been saying they should do since standard was announced.

turn 1 you play mate, you get a 1/3 weapon. 2 1/1 pirates and one of them has charge, that's a fucking turn 1 muster for battle.

the new 1 mana 3/2 pirate makes pirate warrior's early game even more insane

It's literally a 1/1 with charge for nothing. Imagine if you were playing some other card game and someone just walks over to your gameboard and sticks a card on your side of the field and walks away, and it's considered legal. That's basically what patches is. Anything for 100 percent free is really good. Then consider that Pirate Warrior is already looking to be one of the best decks in the game, now they get an extra pirate utterly free, that you have to get rid of.

And alsoIt makes a neutral card available that's literally better than a 3 mana 5/5.

you don't need it, shaman now can sometimes just hero power for the first 3 turns and still win
