Because they aren't superior.
You get more power and less weight with OHC engines.
Regulations and emissions
You're kidding, right?
you can get similar performance and better emissions
They are in cases where compact displacement is more important than specific output
Like drag racing
No, I'm not. Feel free to stop shitposting and prove me wrong.
>OHC
>lighter than OHV
This is the I know you're retarded
>88 lbs

Keep up the ad hominems pushcuck
They're cheap, not superior.
>1 litre

>m-muh LeMans
You're such a faggot user-kun, holy ahit
Not an argument.
I don't care about lemans, retard.
Apparently you have no actual argument
Pushrods are garbage.
Well, I could post a 60 pound 13b or whatever they weigh, that makes 1500hp.
I'll just leave out the 110mm turbo...
They literally aren't. It's an outdated layout. Period
>what is the Chebby 302
Oh right, you don't know, fucking neck yourself you worthless shitcunt
>pushrods so shit he brings up rotaries
I could post airplane engines that get 3-4hp/cube
>still no argument
OHC is lighter and more powerful
Get over it

lol, pushrods
Not an argument, stay btfo
Hey, you can use your OHC engine to power that tractor you use to move your goal posts :^)

Coming from Alcuck, this is hilarious
A bigger question is why do you have Miranda Cosgrove in your OP.
See
You did it first pushcuck

Fail
Stay mad
Nice try enginelet.
Take your oversized cylinder head and terrible timing setups and fuck off.
You still haven't explained why pushrods are inferior or why they aren't used in racing.
lol
This.
Pushcucks need to stop getting so fucking triggered and answer the questions
Valve float
Nascar uses pushrod, and has a bigger audience then most racing groups/classes.
Nice same fagging Alcuck

I almost thought you were joking until i googled it.
Why do people even bother using pushrods anymore?
quality over quantity. F1 draws racing enthusiasts. Nascar draws incest.
Blown the fuck out
because boomers are afraid of change
same reason harleys still use v-twin shit

Lol all the bbc loving pushcucks ragequit

Is that image flipped?
Pushrods are good in terms of cost, reliability, ease of maintenance, and packaging. Cam in block saves a lot of space, you guys always complain about cars getting bigger nowadays and don't seem to realize that 4v DOHC heads are really wide. They're simple engines and can make good power reliably with a high displacement, but are less efficient which is why they've been phased out. A pushrod engine can still be very successful in racing, like the Viper and obviously the Corvette. Why is everyone on Veeky Forums a troll and unable to answer a question.
Maybe if the gm shills would leave Veeky Forums there wouldn't be a fucking problem
They are so annoying
>F1 draws fags, golfers, and old people
Ftfy
all you need to do is admit the LSx is the best engine in the world
>LSx
That doesn't sound anything like RB20
cuck
>Pushrods are good in terms of cost, reliability, ease of maintenance
no. a manufacturer building on the same engine for over half a century is good in terms of all those things.
hemis are ohv and fucking massive btw
It isn't though. Pushrods a shit
t. Gm's marketing team
Odd, that sounds nothing like 22re to me.
Before this thread gets shitposted into oblivion like it seems its about to (and was meant to) The lotus carlton uses what is described as a "OHV OHC Hybrid". Where would this be on the spectrum? worst of both worlds? advantages of its own?

I saw a thread weeks ago about a Bentley that uses OHV. was kinda cool for a car that demands that much money.

Can't wait for Freevavle Tech to catch on. No need for cam shafts, just pneumatic valves been controlled independently by the ECU.
for those curious
8000/496=16.129 hp/lb
400/88=4.545 hp/lb
you are all wrong, the best engines dont have cams at all

nipshit
they reduce the size of the inlet ports is why
that and rod flex is a pita
And yet the collective IQ of the larger Nascar crowd is still lower than the larger one.

Easy to work on. Don't have to fuck with the timing or the timing belt or chain when replacing a head gasket
