I imagine if you lost most of your mates you find a new one, if half of them left then merge with a guild with a similar fate and if you kept most of your buddies you recruit the missing pieces

The fresh server WILL have insane lag for the first few days, it will get better once people spread out.

More players in the same location increase load on the server exponentially, there is no way around it.

I want to believe that. I logged off the stress test about an hour after it started, and it was COMPLETELY unplayable when i logged out.

They still exist and spam the fuck out of trade channels, but I can't say I ever had problems gathering resources as a miner/herbalist.

Old nost i had ~100-120 ping. Was perfectly playable outside of short periods of REEEEEEEEEEEEEEe crashes

Kronos I had 200-250 ping at all times. Unplayable for me.

Elysium stress test i had 130-150 ping at first, which is playable. But then the server lag started kicking it, and then my ping spiked up to 400+ as well.

It wasn't a problem in retail vanilla because there were Chinese clients separate from the english servers. Blizzard also has a huge customer support team; if you tried to pull what the Chinese are doing on Nost you were fucking outta there. Bots and shit had to be kept on the down low.

It initially seemed like a step up from WoD but then the reality sets in. The time-gating this xpac is fucking insane.
Nu-blizz is firmly committed to getting big box sales out of their xpacs and then coasting by with the people that remain, using time-gating to keep them between patches.

There is a reason they stopped announcing sub numbers, and it's not because they're doing amazing and want to keep it secret.
Bnet and mmochamp posters literally believe that Legion has 10m+ subs while their guilds and servers are dying. Rated pvp has lower participation in terms of amount of players than TBC now.

There is addon for that. You get muted for it. Also their website was filtered by Nost team so they had to type it like I T 3 M W 0 W etc

Paladins are great healers on any server using 1.12 talents/abilities (like Nost)

I don't know how to do it, but on normal servers you can color your text in general chat. The original Nostalrius had this disabled though iirc.

Not too mention getting a shitty legendary ruins your bad luck protection which makes it even less likely you'll get your 2 bis legendaries. Just look at any top guilds players present for server firsts etc they all have at least one of their bis, most have both. Getting a raid spot in a shitter mythic guild without your bis legendary or even one of your good legendaries is tougher now and completely out of your control. Why take the guy who does 60k less than the newfag who has his bis legendary? Joke expansion.

Paladins are undeniably the best pvp healers. They're less powerful in pve since utility spells like sacrifice/freedom/bubble aren't as useful.

There's really no "bad" pve healers in vanilla though, even if Paladins might be the worst.

I was / sometimes retail. I still play Legion. But I play more and more on private servers these days. I won't say which specific server's but they are vanilla & TBC, they had the best talent trees and that's that. Legion is my final expansion with Blizzard unless they release retail vanilla and legacy servers. I am very much looking forward to Nost. I will play on Nost for vanilla and the other private server for TBC.
