Rumor is you need to hit level 10 in Deresute and connect your account.
Level 10 takes like an hour or two of gameplay. You can do it on an emulator too, just bind screen areas to keyboard, but Pro/Master songs will be out of your touch, those have flicks/slides which require moving inbetween rows.

Game is fun though, has a lot of cute waifus and most songs are good, skill ceiling is very high too. Can definitely last you for few months, until you play all songs on Pro/Master and then your favorite girl is in gacha and you don't pull her despite the odds being in your favor fucking shit gacha two nukes weren't enough.
