It takes 2 years before Netherlands gets ticking warscore against UK for holding Belgium. It takes three more years after that until it gets large enough to get a white peace. It also resets whenever a CB is added by you, or potentially your side in the conflict.

There is a Greek trade republic in "Neapolis" (Naples) in the earlier start dates. Playing at one of the later dates isn't that bad though, since you should be the most powerful kingdom/empire in the world within a century or two, unless you are complete. Trebizond in the Trebizond start date in HIP is really fun. Pic related is a game I did a while back, right before I reformed the ERE.

I have been playing a 3 day Stellaris multiplayer game with my girlfriend and we have slowly been taking on the rest of the galaxy trying to build up our territory + fleets to be able to fight the awakened fallen empire.

The unbidden were pretty easy, she got psi jump drives a day before me and I was using hyperlanes. It took fucking for ever for me to get anywhere with hyperlanes.

I decided to build synthetics on all of the new planets the I colonized/conquered because they get a 20% increase to everything and it has propelled by energy credits/minerals/research output past hers.

The leviathans DLC is pretty meh I wouldn't recommend buying it. The creatures you fight aren't anything special and the curators don't provide any benefits worth $10bux - maybe get it on special and don't be a cuck like me.

One thing I hate about /gsg/ is that if you play the games all day and then go out into the real world I feel like I have a +20% autism buff. We went to the supermarket to buy groceries to make dinner and I felt strange. After we finish up this game I'm gonna take a break from gaming for a while.

The reinforcements have arrived, and while the americans are pushing pack harder than expected things are going as planned.

The american strategy of shipping in as many men and material as it can from the east to the railheads at denver and fort benson and from there engaging our superior forces in as many areas as possible to spread them thin and wear them out is seeing quite a bit of success, nonetheless we have steadily secured more and more important mountain passes and forts, while pushing an american pocket north of the columbia river. the reinforcements will head directly across the desert to engage an american expedition across the rio grande while we focus on steadily pushing every front.

So I'm really enjoying EU4. How do the other grand strategy games compare? Pretty much between CK2, HoI3, and Victoria 2 I think, if I want to try another?

EU4 is the closest one, complexity wise.
Victoria 2 is my favorite and regarded by many to be the best, ignore the liquor memers.

EU3 is actually better than EU4 in a lot of ways anyway, so you might want to see if you have a preference between the two.

HoI isn't really similar to EU, but you will recognize a lot of Vicky and CK2. Vicky is more "restrictive" in some ways. In CK2 you play as a dynasty rather than as a state, but it's more fun than it sounds.
