The hierarchy for the methods of disabling traction control/ESP is as follows.

God Tier:
>one button that immediately turns it off

Good Tier:
>Three second or less hold of button required to turn it off

Acceptable Tier:
>No ESP

Shit Tier:
>Have to come to a complete stop and hold a button to turn it off

Consider Suicide Tier:
>ESP comes back on after a predetermined amount of wheel slip

Fucking Kill Yourself Tier:
>No way to disable ESP

If your car is shit tier or worse you should probably go back to /n/.

My car doesnt have that shit

My car doesn't have traction control though. I can disable my ABS though how about you?

>being poor

Disabling ABS on any car is as simple as pulling a fuse.

Mines on a button though, it also locks the rear differential while leaving the front open

>God Tier:
>one button that immediately turns it off

I have this but it's actually still on if you get hektic.

>it also locks the rear differential while leaving the front open
My car is like that all the time

What truck?

>having traction control at all

One fuse away, permanently disabled

Push button once = disable esp
hold button for 3 seconds = disable esp and traction control

Tfw my car has no tcs esc or even abs but has electric windows and cruise control. No need for your computerised driving crutches.

Locks as in welded, wheels cannot travel at different speeds

How it works for anyone interested

The car I was talking about is a B6 A4, which to my knowledge is limited slip at the back and open at the front. Really strange to hear an S4 has a locking diff by a button, seems pointless in a car with no off-road capability.

But why would I want to disable something that reduces my chances of wrapping myself around a pole?

Good luck climbing a snowy hill with traction control on buddy.

No hills where I live anyway

Good luck having fun hooning with traction control on buddy.

What's the difference between ESP and traction control?

LOL relying on a electronic nanny to save you when you are off terra firma. if you have ESP/traction control in you car you are a cuck

Mite be wrong but traction control simply reduces power from engine while stability control will apply the brakes / limit power

ESP notices if you're starting to spin out/lose control and tries to correct it by applying brakes.
Traction control is only for preventing wheelspin

My shitbox doesn't have traction control. It does however have electronic adjustable dampening. Way cooler than some stupid nanny aid.

>tfw DIFF button

a C4 S4 is nothing like your B6 A4. Also it's mostly for snow and dirt.

>God Tier
Press it every time I hop in the car.

>t. bangle-era BMW owner
Def a bangle bmw. On my M its just one click and you disable both.

wrong.
>God tier, never had that faggot shit in the first place.

>adjustable dampers
>on a shitbox
>but no ESP
Doesn't exist.

The best is no ESP.

I just had to pull a fuse in my Jeep to disable it completely.

But that's stupid. There's no reason for you to want to stop worse.

>1999 E46 328i
>No DSC, just anti-slip
>Turns off with just one press

Best tier

Mk3 Supra. Google tems.

Wrong

Best tier:
>no ESP or TC
>huge tires that don't break loose when you don't want them to

My '06 ITR had nothing but 215 tires and I only ever broke traction dropping the clutch or launching second

>press once
>semi hektik
>hold down
>full hektik

Perfect. Too bad I'm FWD and it's pointless anyway.
