Alright lads, need an upgrade from my slowbike. Thinking fz07

>fz07
>an upgrade from anything

>76hp.

DRZ

2017 has a new motor bruh

Its going to get recalled, and as soon as you get it back it will get stolen

I hope you're screencapping all these posts and making a collage for when you're correct

Well you are slightly less wrong at least

go sit
on your dildo

It's actually 73, but then intake exhaust and tune

My note 7 got recalled and it's 3 inches away from my dick right now

cycleworld dyno'd it(2016) at 61hp
you really think they magically found another 15hp with a redesign?

That's at the wheel, all of these numbers are at the crank

So you people know alot about bikes, right?

Can you turbocharge bike engines 5-8PSI without any internal work, like you can a car engine?

I had a dumb idea of making a lightweight sandrail with a Kawasaki zx6r engine, for the sole purpose of its 18,000rpm redline, and to turbo it for lulz. Basically make it sound like a F1 car.

Of course I am.

crank hp is pointless, it just hypes up faggots like you.

youd be far better off with a literbike engine running N/A

Pretty sure a bike engine will take even more. You can get 900hp out of a busa engine.
Use a busa engine.

Crank horsepower is for comparing motors, and the numbers for stock bikes are easier to find.

Oh hey thanks for the reply. Let me know what bike you have so I find something better

Are those cheap? I'm seeing drop in complete zx6rs for $1200 and they already make like 120hp.
Mostly want the turbo for the noise, I dont care if it only adds 20-30% power.

thanks for the (you)
the fz07 is a poor man's sv650

>nigger exhaust
>tiny tail light
>doesn't bother to get rid of garbage stock tires
spot the scrub who rides for image

The most important metric is compression ratio. Unfortunately bikes stout enough to turbo on stock internals are typically pretty strung out from the factory already

>18k redline
more like 14-16k

But the Busa only goes to 11k rpm from what I've seen.

...

>so you people know a lot about bikes
the average /dbt/ goer doesn't even own a bike.

So what? You can probably pull 300 horse without opening it up.

What do you mean? Ive seen a few shift at 18k

>sound like an F1 car
it'd be cheaper to import a hiroshima screamer, they already sound like F1

I was more going bike engine for the high rev limit and sound, Otherwise, I'd just stick a car engine in it.

kinda dumb question, but if my bike has a 10k redline, if I sit at 9k for too long, will that do anything bad to the engine? potential overheat?

how is this possible? I started riding at 8...
what's taking you pussies so long?

>this triggers the american
yes, engines don't like to be held at the same point for too long. Different engine speeds will put wear in different places

so painful to watch

Not being able to shift from 3-2 while all other downshifts are fine seems like some sort of non-rider problem yes?

Highest rpms you'll get is a 2010ish maybe 600 at like 16.5 or something unless you import a 250rr engine that makes no power

People use busa engines for all kinds of shit though so the aftermarket is already there

bad 3rd gear or selector fork

>don't like to be held at the same point for too long
this includes not running at all.

Just about every turbo build I've seen, people increase displacement and reduce compression slightly. These bikes run at >12:1 compression already. If you're going to the trouble of adding a turbo you should at leas do it right and make good power from it.

What's stopping you from shifting?

Does it go into neutral? Might have a burr on the shift fork.

It's not good for the engine but anything low mileage you shouldn't notice any time soon

Thats the first engine I stumbled accross, but the shitty HP rating wont work for a 1000lb+ sandrail + driver.

It just doesn't down shift. No rev blipping or clutch releasing, foot lifted off shifter, stomping back down etc. It sometimes just doesn't down shift from 3-2. Bike is a new R3 btw. I'm thinking of taking it back to the dealer.

oh lol you want to swap
bike engines can only rev so hard because they have tiny pistons, cars can't run with tiny pistons because they're so fucking fat
look for a rotary

have you tried revving as you press the shifter down?

>new R3
there's your problem

also I'm IIRC there was a recall for the R3 at some stage because of a dodgy gearbox

It's generally accepted that running higher revs will wear out the engine much quicker.

>run engine at 1 million rpm for 1 second
>or run engine at 1 rpm for 1 million seconds

>fz 07 retails for more than the sv650
>says its the poormans sv650

It doesn't go anywhere. Doesn't go into neutral, doesn't go halfway to the next gear. No clunk, no feel whatsoever. Just stays in 3 like i never downshifted.

I've tried that. Doesn't make a difference. Its also only going from 3-2 that its a problem. All other downshifts are smooth with minimal fuss (even 2-1 while moving).

Sad_frog.jpg. Woulda thought any recall was sorted out by the dealer.

Call your dealer immediately, brand new bikes should have no issues for many miles

it's because you are emotionally poorer than anyone who doesn't have an fz07

they're an absolute rubbish bike

digitaltrends.com/cars/yamaha-yzf-r3-hit-with-two-recalls/
the R3 is also a rubbish bike

Baird and I really shitted[shat?] up this thread with no pics, so post pics of your baikus.

you would need some ridiculously low gearing to run at 1rpm
1 million seconds = 277.77 hours. Not that long for a motor.

Try lifting the shifter up a little bit it might be getting stuck at the bottom. Take it back to the dealer.

higher rpm = higher piston speed = higher friction temperatures & increased stress on just about every engine component

Well it's not that simple either. Running extremely fast exposes the engine to a lot more acceleration stresses, while lugging the engine super low also exposes it to a lot of shaking and acceleration as the engine slows down noticeably between power strokes so you get a big jolt as it reaches combustion point.

Does this stator look gross to you guys cause I sure don't feel good about it.

Yee

Ok.

Anbdody want to share the weirdest thing you've done on a motorcycle (stories/videos)? youtu.be/d5aD82gRIms

bleh

>argues over DRZ vs 701 vs XRR
>owns an ADV bike

yeah looks gross but I can't say it's gone bad

he owns an xrr...

what a shit video

I tip over cruisers and gs500's for fun.

...

But I also own an XRR user

>both bikes are objectively the same
>one bike is rubbish

opinion discared

K. Not the whole bike, but airbox mod. Close enough?

The rod is what takes all the stress in a motor. Combustion pressure only makes a certain amount of force on the rod, RPM really doesn't matter force on the rod through the piston might as well be a constant. The real problem is the rod making the piston change directions when it passes TDC and BDC, that force actually changes in a logarithmic scale, with high RPM the forces get stupid large, this is why manufactures try to keep pistons as light as possible.

holy throttle blipping god

youtube.com/watch?v=kfBHAGyZ2QI

talked to these nf gdi fucks

I had a DRZ and have a deposit on a 701 and

don't ask stupid questions and you won't get stupid answers
buy something that isn't an fz07

>doesn't defend his dirt harley

I do happen to like my "dirt harley" but no one was arguing about adv bikes.

third worlders seem to get the most hektik of anyone

RIP. Just only use the OEM charger and you will be fine.

Take it back. Is that obe of the recalled models?

I'm convinced the recall is damage control from the media overreaction. We take the same risks when we ride bikes, airplanes, etc. They still don't really know what causes the explosions.

that guy won't live long

Did you buy it off CTA?

I piss or shit in helmets left on bikes.

Dat DR650 tho

>shorty seat
haha manlet

hes good at it but the slipper helps

I'm 5'9"

I am going to take it back. It is a 2016 model, but how do I find out when it was manufactured? Can I type my VIN into a database somewhere to look it up?

Like he said, a manlet

No you aren't.

Surely you have a vehicle recalls website for where ever you live.

The VIN plate/compliance plate will have the info you seek.

LMAO

King of manlets

NIP throwing now?

idts fgt. maybe your dildo is, but i ain't buyin it

Whoops wrong general

>tfw injury no longer hurts. So no more oxy and weed.

...

Sounds interesting. What is the longest you have thrown a Nip?
