LMAO

>americans

amirite

Hi guys. I want to come SEM this year but large engines are always banned! I'm not buying a 250 just for one event. You guys should change the rules and let us peters come too.

>coming in second again
and again and again

lol

at least he didn't run into a truck.

I've been ignoring this video all day, I cracked and clicked on it.

>USING YOUR PHONE WHILE RIDING

literally how retarded do you have to be.

seriously

>you can stop in a near-instant and take up zilch space on the shoulder
>you can get back up to the typical speed limit in less than a second
>nah i'll use my phone while riding

>communist germans

LMAO

>conditions are perfect for dank leans
>no dank leans

Help me /dbt/ for i aam torn
Torn between the kawasaki ninja 650 or waiting for the honda rebel 500, and i know theyre 2 completely different bikes but i dont know which would be a vetter daily considering the situation i live in, poor roads and heavy traffic with shit speed limits. Also the vulcan s look mighty fine too.
Also which is better a guy with little experience, i mean i only have around 4-5 months of sum ratshit 125cc experience plus a whole year of scooter

"Had no time to correct"
>half a lane width to go
Why can't Americans ride motorcycles?

watch till the end :)

he could have just like turned

>Why can't Americans ride motorcycles?

>all roads are straight, never learn to lean
>no lessons because they all have to be free no matter how dumb they are

Gee, I wonder why.

I've honestly never seen a moto vlog from an American that didn't leave me thinking wow, why is this guy on anything bigger than a BMX?

>cut contacts with family for a while
>need to be alone
>they keep pestering me with their problems
>insurance is out so can't ride away for a while

Shit i wanna disappear

Speaking of which
youtube.com/watch?v=2H348Q0Cs9A

With all this demand for freedom, it makes you wonder why they sue because a product didn't state you can't set cruise control and walk away to make coffee

Australian DBT:
>americans
>americans
>americans
>fucking americans

what actual advantage would a rebel 500 have over a cbr500?

Cruisers in general, but especially small cruisers, are fucken GAY.

lmao

>australians

our shitposting cannot be contained

stop doing retarded shit and we won't have to call you retards, simples.

cant handle the bants?

Well the cbr isnt sold in my market so thats a start, and if i bought it out of town it would still be 2x the price

Also , i sat on the ninja and the vulcan at the kawasaki dealership and the vulcan was way comfier , i intend to use it as a daily so it makes this decison alot harder than if it was just a sunday toy.
Not to mention my dad owns a bmw something something i forgot that he lets me borrow sometimes

Just passed my Mod 1 today. No faults.

Yeah cruisers are initially comfy, for like 20 minutes lol. They have a plush seat and leaned back riding position which is like 'showroom comfy'. The problem is that all the road bumps go directly into your unsupported spine, and your posture makes you a parachute for the wind. Source: owned a virago 1100 for like a year.

Seriously for commuting and all round use, you're better off with a UJM/standard, or possibly a dual sport for DAT vision over cars.

Good lad

The sv650 truly is a modern classic. You are living in the era where they are cheap hacks, but 30 years from now, a clean SV will be a commodity. Or maybe not a commodity, but definitely a well liked and oft-talked about classic motorcycle.
>sweet engine response
>responsive and agile handling
>minimal electronic gimmicks
>minimal plastic
>inexpensive for everyman to own and run

I think people will look back on the sv650 the same way we look back at like, a classic bonneville.

24, jack shit because I don't live there.

Hornet PC41 much stronker than PC36
fuck carbs

It's just a fucking renamed gladius.

>computer controlled AF ratio and mechanically injecting fuel into the intake stream gives better power than carbs
who wudda thunk

>v2 engine

>large engines are always banned
what the fuck are you talking about?
stop being a pussy and just go.

leathers or textile?

winter? textile.

>but large engines are always banned!
What? I didn't know my bike was banned.

Textile. But I'm a commuter.

Abrasion test results

Hein Gericke Reno leather jeans: 4.74 seconds
Draggin' Biker kevlar jeans: 3.07 seconds
Hornee kevlar jeans: 1.39 seconds
Rev'it Sand textile trousers: 0.71 seconds
Levi stonewash 501s: 0.56 seconds
Tesco Cherokee jeans: 0.16 seconds

So even a budget pair of fairly fashiony leather trousers (£100) offers better protection than premium kevlar jeans (£150), or the fancy Rev'it pants (£190). Those Rev'it BMW-bait "Adventure" trousers are shockingly poor for the price,

those, not for sale anymore

Can you find the results for Rukka, Dane and maybe Damen? You know the €800+ suits.

no leather, expensive aramid fully lined jeans vs cheaper partially lined jeans.

Kek ancient history:
September 1988 issue of Cycle magazine did a comparison. They put a 75 pound sandbag in a milk crate, hooked to an assembly off the back of a pick-up. Test sample bags, made from different materials, filled with chalk was stitched to the bottom, when they got the tuck up to 50 mph, they lowered the samples to contact the pavement, to simulate a slide (not a tumble) here are the results, when the sample material wore through, the chalk line was visible, indicating the point at which the rider would be down to skin.

Leather competition weight, 3 oz/sq ft .... 86 feet
Kevlar 29 Aramid fiibre, Style 713 .... 22 ft 1 in
Cordra nylon, type 440 .... 18 ft 3 in
2 year old 100% cotton denim jeans .... 4 ft 5 in
Leather, fashion weight, 1.75 oz/sq ft .... 4 ft 4 in
Leather, fashion weight nude finish .... 4 ft 3 in
Senior ballistic nylon .... 3 ft 10 in
New 100% cotton denim jeans .... 3 ft 10 in

This is dated, and there may well be newer materials out there, but riding leathers are still your best bet
according to this test, in the case of a slide you are better off with $200 leather jeans than a $2000 Rukka
endurowanderer.de/pdf/kombitest.pdf [german]

>100% polyester lining
Maybe the leather won't wear through quickly on those, but the heat generated will melt that polyester onto your ass. Same with nylon linings. They heat up & weld onto you before breaching.

>capcha: mena stains
kek

Leather in hot weather is a bad idea, that's the only major drawback. But I guess that's why we have textile in the first place, not as safe but more comfy.

lmao retards gear is only important when you plan to crash

leathers if it's one or the other.

More motorcycle crap to infest your apartment is always the answer though.

>he doesn't have arm vents(tm)

Fuck off, CycleCruza.

My German isn't good enough to completely understand it. Does it say it doesn't hold up completely and will cause some burn wounds?

And for how long does it hold up? I've been im a crash with a textile suit, yes the suit was fucked but I was fine.

Gimpsuit

>wristbreakers

>not planning to crash
Is it even possible to be a bigger cuck?

The gladius was a renamed SV650 you retarded.

>tfw your leathers vent properly and you dont sweat much at all at 105f
>until you stop at a light and you start swimming in it.
My leathers give about the same amount of air as the mesh gear i had. But its very insulating without the airflow

yeah sure, being a good rider means you're a cuck
typical Veeky Forums retard logic

$400 a year
25

Hey Hey guys what's going in in this thread

Looking for op to post sis of male in pic.

>being a good rider
>not crashing
What are you an insurance sales agent? By your logic, the old lady from down the street is the best driver in town.
>5 under the limit at all times
>always shift at 2600rpm
>hands at 10 & 2 at all times, even while shifting

>typical Veeky Forums retard logic
Yeah, to git gud, find your limits & become familiar with being on either side of them. Crashes are an important learning tool if you prepare for them properly. Unplanned crashes will fuck your shit up.

>falling for terrible b8

Tried to shorten it, here is the results

- 350€ Textile combi
>noteworthy skin and soft parts injuries
>unusable after test - total loss
- 350€ leather
>no skin or soft part injuries
>usable after test with reservations (cracks)

- 900€ textile combi
>noteworthy skin and soft parts injuries
>not usable after test - heavy damage
- 900€ leather combi
>no skin or soft part injuries
>usable after test with reservations (not further specified)

- >1000€ textile combi
>light skin and soft parts injuries
>not usable after test
- >1000€ leather combi
>maximal protective factor and by far the best in test
>completly usable after crash, only visual damage

What is noteworthy that the leather suits are all a couple of bucks cheaper in the higher segments.

>900€ segment
Textile: 895€
Leather: 790€

>+1000€ segment
Textile 1625€
Leather: 1320€

Should I do a eurotour on my 125 or is that a bad idea? The engine is screaming when its 60 or above.

>file created 2007

I only hope textile quality has improved in the lower price segments in the past decade...
>tfw 350€ textile combi

...

>made in pakistan
JUST

Bad bad bad bad Idea.

what are the rules for the mod 2 test?

Like, what observations do I need to do? Whats the separation distance between me and the car in front when stopped in traffic?

I was told that since it's a Euro meet, it's considered bad form to come on something bigger than a 250 cause you'd leave everyone else in the dust.

someone post irishanon's SEM pilgrimage image.
something like 6000km in 2 weeks?

is probably him

Isn't that a bit too small if you plan on taking gear?

just a spare change of underwear and a water bottle is what I need though?
