I like the Sims 4 but I'm still 100% sure that it was just a tech demo for a spinoff that EA published anyways and now they try to milk it through stuff packs that don't really add anything, it's the only explanation I have for it missing so many things from the get-go

Have you seen the GDC sessions on youtube for the Sims 4? They were fairly underwhelming. The release of SimCity in 2013 and all the bullshit surrounding it was an augury for how Sims 4 would turn out.

What made y'all pick Sims 4 over Sims 3? Just curious.

Aesthetic, performance, build mode and moods
Sims 3 may have a shitton of things to do over 4 or so i've heard but I didn't have any interest in the series whatsoever (save for 2, and I didn't play that either) until 4 came out

when I play sims 4, the game feels empty because of the lack of DLC but also because the game is divided by districts and isn't fully opened.
On the other hand it improved so many things that when I play the sims 3, I just want to go back to the 4th.

I stopped playing both games. Now that ts4 got some mods and new content, I'll give it another try this week.
