Not only do I believe it, I've TESTED the theory over and over again. Opportunities wide open to those born rich simply do NOT exist for those born poor. If you're born middle class or rich you can intentionally fuck your life up and still come out ahead. i found my way out of it. life isn't all roses now, but by any objective measurement, i am very "successful," at least financially
but it sure as hell wasn't luck. i've had a pretty bad run of luck in my life
also wasn't bootstraps either. i have unique skills and talents, but exploiting them required guidance and cultivation
