This is correct in most cases except A9S. A9S is a dummy fight and it has been proven that running DRG/NIN/BRD/SMN is better than DRG/NIN/BRD/MCH. For every other fight though, you don't want a caster.

SMN is in a great spot atm, it's good. Pretty much every group goes for a PLD/DRK + WAR + SCH + AST/WHM + DRG/MNK + NIN + Caster + ranged melee

some groups change this around, but honestly with this tier you can use whichever caster you like. Don't worry about the "meta" since those groups do that stuff outside of their weekly raid clears and do it for fun. For weekly clears, have fun on your caster!

This is only correct if you're doing really cast speed clears on two turns. The other two turns are great for casters. Check FFlogs

Ninja's do great DPS, and they give aggro help as well as trick attack.

No they really dont. It's all in their utility

They are about the same as DRG, maybe with lower time clears it really helps their end dps

But shadewalker and smokebomb adds a ton of dps to the tanks and allows them to not need to switch to tank stance for anything, especially picking up adds.

And yeah trick attack is just that good.
