no shit sherlock i know that's obvious, but the point is the most default shitty peasant unit in the game counters the most expensive unit that takes ages to train up, and since there are only 3 melee weapon types in gekokujo (spear, sword, naginata) it seems like using anything but spears is completely and totally worthless since they counter every unit in the game and are even required to counter themselves.

>are these from town guildmasters? yes, that quest is present in vanilla too, but vanilla doesn't have such extreme distances so the rewards are rather low, but in ad1256 you can easily get 4-7k gold and 3-4k experience per quest, considering that you do that with just one merc lance, you have no upkeep and huge income
