It's really, really true. Watch out for Corollas, Camrys, and luxury brand SUVs.

t. Vancouverite

That one guy on the bike had to think he was out of range, until the sign pole got him like an axe.

>Haha, that's gotta hur—

Chink here.

In China, the smart take public transit, a taxi, or drive a black Audi A6L. Nobody gives any shit about what they're doing. You're responsible for the front half of your car, that's it. Pedestrians jaywalk all the time, so much that unless there's 50+ people, cars will not stop for pedestrians. Cars communicate by echolocation (my uncle has his horn zip-tied down). It's all one big clusterfuck that rapidly disperses for black Audis as they're often government vehicles.

In America, the Asian dads are super aggressive and the Asian moms are unaware. This applies to both my parents.

This is so absurdly morbid that it almost seems choreographed

Chinese here, every bit of that meme is true, have been drive in Canada for years, went back for some business, was scared shitless how people give a shit about their own life.

also, lorries are the worst, drivers remove their limiter so they can do 150kph without proper braking system

chinese living in vancouver here
fucking hate going to richmond

...

I'M BURNING UP FOR YOU
I'M BURRRRNING UP FOR YOU
I BURN EVERY TIME THAT I'M CLOSE TO YOU

Forget his name but there's an american guy living in China that regularly uploads vids on Liveleak showing how fucked it is driving around there, nobody obeys ANY traffic rules except for sticking to one side of the road.. You would be on edge the second you start your car up in that shithole.

I took a couple cab rides in Hong Kong and I couldn't tell if the drivers were awful or the fucking transporter. Needless to say my ass was clenched whenever I was in a vehicle there.

is this real or from a movie

it's too perfect of a catastrophe

China went very quickly to bikes only to shitloads of cars, drivers still move the same way. It's free for all, pedestrians still cross the streets wherever and whenever, and people don't stop to let them pass, they just avoid them.
Truck drivers consider that since they are bigger, they can do anything and everybody should let them. It's dangerous arround the cities and it's even worse on small roads because they remove their limiters to gain some time (China is fucking huge so you will want every bit of speed you can get) and go as fast as they can all the time, never mind if there are people walking in the ditch.
The meme is real. If you want to travel in China and not die, take the train.

I would have believed you if you told me this was just a scene from a final destination film

Fucking Vancouver...

youtube.com/watch?v=TwZwSIrMLmk

I don't have a huge amount of experience with them, but the one Chinese coworker that I have at this point is an awful driver. Drives far too slowly (as in, 40km/h in a 60km/h zone, 80 in a 110, etc), stops at intersections and waits for people hundreds of meters away, doesn't know how intersections work. The worst part is that he learned to drive here in Australia.

You would think it would be a competition between him and the Indian coworkers. The Indian coworkers are still scary, but nowhere near as bad as the Chinese guy.

Lol... the Chinese guy that I work with managed to do this as well. He has a nice big scrape on his right rear wheel arch and door because he drove into the side of his garage. While driving out forwards.

Half-chink here. Been to Taiwan a few times, the scooter drivers are fucking nuts. Saw a heavily traveled 6 lane one-way street, packed with cars. The scooters were all splitting lanes... heading the opposite direction. Also took a charter van from Taichung to Taipei, our driver blew literally literally every red signal on the way unless he was physically blocked by another vehicle. Then there's my mom, who parked her Acura inside the fabric store next to her restaurant. Yay stereotypes. Basically, about the only asians who have the potential to be capable of operating a vehicle are the Japanese.

>It's so real it looks like a movie!

I will never understand this reasoning.

wow well now i can believe how retarded some drivers are on canada's worst drivers

what the fuck is wrong with your country

WHY

Guy was involved in a hit and run, thought he could sneakily hide his car in the garage.

The vietnamese are like the italians : they are insanely good with their shitty transportation. In places where nobody respects any rule, you have to git gud otherwise you get your car wrecked (in the case or Italy) or die (in the case of Vietnam)
They don't do anything fancy, they drive like madmen but the amount of control of their tiny pieces of shit is genuinely impressive.
An italian is the best at riding his Ape but does nothing but getting on the sidewalk or lanesplitting (in a meter-wide box with crappy acceleration), a vietnamese is the best at riding his Supercup but only uses it to cut off everyone while Nguyen holds a piece of furniture.
Because you're good at driving does not mean you drive well.

It's true. All of it.

I've seen chinese families in an SUV driving the wrong way on a freeway exit, looking absolutely perplexed.

Just incredibly stupid shit, all the goddamn time.

West Strayan user here - closest proximity western city to China. We see a lot of them.

youtube.com/watch?v=vIzPBOT0p_M

i'm more surprised by the fact that a chinese person even accepted to be on the show

>closest proximity western city to China. We see a lot of them.

Ah that's why. I always wondered why the cheapest race on earth would live in one of the most expensive places on earth.

that car was already fucked up though

sometimes things happen that seem so unlikely and would require perfect timing that it almost seems fake

Fucking hell.

holy fucking shit. .07 seconds. the guy wearing the white shirt on the bicycle in the middle of the screen

ive never seen anyone more REKT.

>Chinal Destination.webm

Its true.
>have Chinese gf
>let her take the wheel
>slippery road
>she turns corner way to fucking fast
>loses traction, and control of the car and collides into parked rv

Another Canadian here, this is entirely true. My school is in a chinese area while I live in a white one, every day I see the driving get progressively worse as I get nearer to my school. Same for my blood pressure.

Yes, I was in Vegas for a convention with my boss driving the rental car and jesus christ it was nerve racking.

>stops at green lights
>goes through red lights
>blind to pretty much all street signs

that was scary to watch
at least she knew she was terrible and rated herself 2/10

FUCK

I use to live in Vancouver 10 years ago and even then, Richmond was a place to avoid. Issue is that cars are still fairly new to the Chinese public and that town is filled with immigrants. That being said, my dad doesn't have any issues driving, I don't think he's been any accidents at all actually. Follows traffic well and actually refuses to use cruise control. My mom is bad with spatial awareness, but I feel that's common amongst all women. She's caused a number of small accidents but none involving any other party (ie. hitting a snow bank at low speed, hitting our garage at low speed, etc). I've done stupid shit like excessively speeding (85mph) on the highway when there was black ice on the ground. I ended up spinning out, damaging my accord (stock) when I hit a marker, but thankfully I somewhat regained control before I got to the marker. Total damage was around 2k. Then there was another time I took drifted around a sharp corner (50 in a 25) in winter too quickly and bumped into a snow pile that left a minor dent in the driver door that I never fixed. I like to hoon a lot in the winter, which I don't do anymore since getting out of uni.

As far as driving in China, I always get escorted around since I travel with my dad and he has a lot of friends but it looks like a shitshow. It's gridlocked for hours in the major cities but super empty on the highways from what I remember (~3 years ago). I've traveled between Fuzhou to Shanghai.

In general, I don't think Chinese drivers are better or worse. It's called selection bias. There are just as many caucasian dipshits where I live in lifted trucks that don't signal and are overly aggressive. The accord mentioned above was totaled by one, and they were 100% at fault. And don't get me started on Somalians and AA drivers in general, thankfully there are few here but having driven crosscountry twice, I've experienced my fair share of bad drivers of all ethnicities.

I should note, Chinese drivers in the US aren't better or worse*. Richmond is still a shithole that you should avoid.

It's hilarious, isn't it?

Most of them struggle to live like middle class plebs here, despite being treated like royalty everywhere else

Its fucken true, I always drive cautiously around them

>all these chinks in Vancouver

gtfo

chinks are not even human

this is not a meme

it's 100% true

>china

>who have the potential to be capable of operating a vehicle are the Japanese.
roadandtrack.com/car-culture/travel/a31863/what-its-really-like-to-drive-a-car-in-japan-an-explainer/

Hong Kong and Macau aren't that bad though

I know they're Cantonese but mainland China has been attempting to phase it out (at least in Macau) by teaching Mandarin instead of Cantonese in schools now. Macau will definitely be Mandarin within a few decades or so because no one there gives a shit about their freedom (lotsa money anyways) unlike Hong Kong.

god damn the guy on the bicycle

I dunno but old people definitely are the fucking worst

Actually they were driving on the correct side. You inbred Aussies haven't figured it out yet.

Holy SHIT that man in the white shirt on the bike got chopped hard.

You guys remember the monster from the 'blast pit' chapter of half life?

>In America, the Asian dads are super aggressive
Ami Flip here, even driving down to the local Asian mart in a 2010 Odyssey ends up in road rage

Very true almost got reversed into by one. Its like they cant see.

>I hate Chinese too! A-am I an honorary white yet?
wew lad

Only ever been in a car with 2 asians. Both were decent drivers but they weren't Chinese though.

americanized ones aren't bad,

fobs are terrible.

I think blacks are worse tho.

>live right next to little saigon
jesus fuck, driving through there one has to mentally prepare themself for the nonsense.
>driving down street
>normal traffic
>shitty white asian van (previa) wants to turn out of parking lot
>no normal person would go
>previa cuts out into traffic
>hits a semi truck straight on and gets struck/dragged under trailer
>lady somehow is fine and starts to yell at truck driver
>traffic
>late to work
mfw my boss is vietnamese and asks me why I am late

Chinese kids who grew up in Canada are mostly Canadian in their mannerisms, they hate fob Chinese, because fob Chinese are despicable, psychopathic human beings.

Indians are worse.

There's a story behind it.

Some kid just got his license, borrowed his parents Porsche, hit a car and then drove back home to hide the car but of course his stupidity was filmed and he got in deep shit for hit and run when the video went online.

youtu.be/jW3PFC86UNI?t=2m19s

The new immigrants are pretty bad. (especially the old ones)

I guess it kinda comes from their native countries where everyone has to force themselves into spaces or else they would be in traffic forever and everyone else has to dodge you. Same thing with driving in mexico.

American- asians are pretty much what you expect from regular drivers.

these guys pretty spot on though. The veteran drivers have amazing skills at parking and avoiding shit that would wreck you, but it wouldn't be considered safe or predictable driving anywhere in the western world.

They let this bitch drive a mustang GT?

I think that is not caused for being chinese. It's more like most nations with shitty living conditions everybody can drive because you can get a driving license just paying a small amount of money even if you can't drive for shit, or police don't give a fuck about your driving license nor they give a fuck about traffic accidents since it's not police business.

>roadandtrack.com/car-culture/travel/a31863/what-its-really-like-to-drive-a-car-in-japan-an-explainer/

Not talking about their traffic situations. Look up chinese racing drivers on wikipedia, maybe 20 names, good for a 2nd place showing amongst all of Asia. Japan sports about 150. Huge gulf there.

That has a whole lot to do with the fact that there were no cars at all in china until the 80s. Seriously, it was not possible to own one, all you could have was a bike and maybe some farming equipment.
Considering motoring has only existed in China for 20 years, it's not that bad.

>that one poor guy cycling like hell to get away only to be impaled from the top by a sign
poor bastard

They don't do well with elevators either.

youtube.com/watch?v=CbdGVRywBV0

It has to do with not being familiar with the technology.

>It has to do with not being familiar with the technology.
Often, yes. A lot of chinese leave the empty rural areas for the cities and they have a hard time adapting.
That or some retarded incident that got blown out of proportion by their media, like what happened when some guy died because of a malfunctionning escalator and then half of China was scared to even go near these things.

Can confirm
Dad followed and pulled out a knife on another Viet Dad cuz he cut my dad off multiple times

My dad (asian) worked as a chauffeur, he drives very gentle.

so true it's scary
>in china if pedestrians look at oncoming traffic
>they lose their right of way
>this extrapolates to all vehicle operation
>"you saw the bigger vehicle, you should have yielded"
>Result:
>peds dash out in front of vehicles without looking
>motorcycles and scooters don't yield or look
>small vehicles speed up to intimidate peds and cycles
>large vehicles speed up to intimidate small ones

don't want to drive? take a taxi:
>literally the only way I ever got taxis was to be in bumfuck nowhere or pretend the I or one of my friends got hit by the cab
>cab would stop
>injured person starts screaming buyao!
>everyone else piles into the back of cab when >driver gets out
>some chinese taxi driver told me he was
>"deeply offended" by this
so then take the bus!
>there is room on the bus if you make room on the bus
>you will never get to sit unless you are old or dying

>buyao
youtube.com/watch?v=IfV4cGo0cRI
>don't

RUNNING AROUND AT THE SPEED OF SOUND!

Do you get your driving license if you buy 3 bags of milk in Canada?

Driving While Asian isn't just a meme

>gif
Some say he's still falling to this very day.
Others say the man was embarassed, and this was a suicide
I personally believe he rode his scooter down to the earth's core and now resides there

Also my vietnamese friend is 29 and has an at-fault accident and 2 DUIs on record. I guess she's Chinese at heart

Yes. I've been hit by enough Mercs and BMWs to hold this meme as fact. At least they usually admit fault immidietly and have insurance unlike most peeps.

t. Los Angeles

all we know is he's called the stig

But thats not all, he then got run over, and THEN set on fire. God must have been pissed off. See thats when you see shit like that. you of in the opposite direction.

women drivers are a meme

Yesteday I got tirggered watching this video. A fucking retard thought it was a good idea to drive having seizures without taking his medication. This retard was from the US, I think that there are bad drivers everywhere, although I think that the concentration is higher in china since they don't respect human live.

liveleak.com/view?i=0aa_1481671586

I got triggered by the song

youtu.be/uizNcQcpK-8

Well the reason is because they have some strange communist government. You can buy private property, but you can only have it only for like 60 years, so they decide to use cheap construction materials since they are not allowed to pass their property to their sons.

youtube.com/watch?v=EIx5VRLQZjA

why do so many asians drive odyssey's? and the rich ones usually drive lexus gx/lx.
