Daily reminder that American carmakers need foreign help to not suck

>1994 ZR1: Developed with Lotus (BRITISH) help
>1989 SHO: Used Yamaha (JAPANESE) parts
>1993 Viper: V10 engine cast by Lamborghini
>Ford GT40 1966-1969: Developed by BRITISH engineers, only all-American team won once, last two wins at Le Mans were by British teams, no driver for either team was American
>Whatever that stupid bullshit Chrysler convertible was with Maserati badges was: a fucking piece of shit

>Declaration of Independence + 240
>Believing in American carmakers

>ford needed mazda
>GM needed toyota
>Chrysler needed mitsubishi

Overnight bodies from Italy because luxury.

The godmachine went into production today

stay btfo

>with a mazda engine
Kek

>made in canada

mazda doesn't make Ecoboost engines

Are you that stupid?

not an argument

kys retard

Oh man.

There never was. Everyone knows ecoboost is just old mazda tech

funny how since 1895 you could only cite 5 instances. One of which doesn't count because the TC was built in Italy.

That AC ace sure was awesome performer, and the Lola sure was raking in those Le mans wins before Ford. Jensen, Allard, Sunbeam, Bristol, Facel-Vega, Bizzarini, Iso, Monteverde, TVR, DeTomaso, Qvale, MG, Koenigsegg, Marcos, Bitter, Lola, McLaren, Lister. All had an american engine so they could run for more than a few minutes without falling apart.

There's also:
>GTR has a transmission from BorgWarner(non-japanese company)
>NSX isn't even built in Japan and honda left some or almost all of the development to Honda of America.
>New supra required the help of BMW on a BMW platform and also wont be built in japan

I'd blame america's lack of road racing culture creating a lack of demand for domestic performance, but the US doesn't even produce a good motocross bike despite it being the closest you can get to a popular form of road racing over here.

Fuck, the US doesn't actually make any through-and-through red-white-and-blue competitive motorcycles except for HD flat track racers, and that's just dirtbike nascar. Every good buell has a foreign engine.

The US can't into competitive performance in automobiles. All we can do is airplanes.

meh Boeing ain't that good
and they have Roll Royce engine too

Everyone loves Japs

...

>GE
>P&W

yet that just uses ancient Volvo an Mazda tech

>>ford needed mazda

yeah you got that backwards
it was Ford that bought a good % of Mazda when Mazda was having money issues

The 777 and 737 are killer planes that absolutely dominate their markets, watchu say

>Not understanding greentext

Has this collaboration ever produced a good car?

Chrysler Mitsubishi

Conquest/Tsi
Eclipse/Laser/Talon
3000gt/stealth
dodge colt turbo/mirage turbo

ford and mazda
323gt/escort gt.
mx6/probe
Ranger/B-Series

GM/Toyota. both shit so,no.

The RR Trent is still the most popular option, and the world's most popular turbine engine.

>Ford GT40 1966-1969: Developed by BRITISH engineers, only all-American team won once, last two wins at Le Mans were by British teams, no driver for either team was American

But the GT40 was a piece of shit before Ford started dumping money into it and sent Shelby to help with the project.

>Conquest/Tsi
>Eclipse/Laser/Talon
>3000gt/stealth
>dodge colt turbo/mirage turbo

all massive piles of fucking shit

>ford and mazda
>Ranger/B-Series

Only good combination out of these

T

>5 instances

The only 5 instances of american automotive history worth noting in the first place, cuck.

Negative
Ford couldnt produce small fuel efficient cars.
So they offered mazda money to produce them.
Ford cant design shit besides trucks and v8 mustangs.
Everything else they have is from mazda, jag, the brits, volvo, aston etc etc.
Go read up on fords history while youre at it.
He copied designs for the model A too. They have never been able to make a decent car for themselves.

What about the corvette user

>Ford couldnt produce small fuel efficient cars.
Almost but not quite. You should have said "Ford couldnt produce small fuel efficient cars profitably". That was due to the costs involved with producing cars in the US. So what they did to get in that market was basically an early version of outsourcing and had Mazda do it.

>1994 ZR1

>1895
>2016-240 = 1776

I know Chrysler and Ford drivers can't do math, but come on now
