Get a level-appropriate mana nostrum. The Bottoms Up title can be had by resetting skills 5 times and gives +400 max MP, too, so get that also.

That depends entirely on your class. But resetting your skills is free, you can wing it for a pretty long time before having to worry about what's optimal and what isn't. Feel free to play around while leveling and find what you like best.

For PVE honestly tiers don't matter that much. Even the worst classes can hold their own with enough investment. What's important is to play what you find most fun.

I am autistic and can't imagine screwing a character up.

You have free skill resets and you really don't have to worry about what skills are better than others until you start hitting high level content, so just read what they do and pick what you think works. Or you can ask, there are people here who will uncommonly decide to help others with their characters.

It costs nothing to change or reset skills. You can even change advancement until level 49 if you don't like what you picked.

you have a training room that lets you test builds in real time
you even have a dps chart and timers to tell you how fast you killed something and which skill did how much after how many uses

as for tiers this game changes too fast for tiers
by the time you hit cap the tier list will have changed
the only thing that won't budge is crusaders being top tier
everything else is a wildcard

is battlemage really hard? from the videos I've watched, it looks like it takes a lot of time to learn how to consistently combo and use chasers at the same time. Is battle mage worth it or should I just be a summoner?

Battlemage is buggy, summoner is braindead. Neither is very difficult.

a) SB is worse than Asura
b) they're even remotely similar

Well sorry for being retarded for thinking they are alike as they are both m slayer classes

And from looking at their skillsets on the wiki I assumed SB is a boring support class while Asura is a burst damage mage type

Bender is dark-type magic melee, with circles that buff, debuff, and cc
Asura is a tank (if they exist in DFO) that launches nukes
They're both fun as fuck and they both get more fun with every patch, as they keep adding more attack skills to Bender and cool ways to cancel Asura's waves into each other

Don't know if it's the most fun fslayer, since all I have is DT, but DT is pretty fun.
Near total control over enemies, and good damage to boot!
