I just played alone all day really. I kinda want to switch servers because its a bit unpopulated (malboro) but I have a friend here and a few other fc members I'm getting to know

there's no world where red mage isn't getting the healer lb3, sorry friend

Do you also think Red mage is going to get healing spells and function as a potential off-healer?

Red Mage will probably at best get something similar to Paladin, a large heal burst that it can only use occasionally.

I think it's more likely for their 'white magic' to just mean earth/wind/water attack magic in addition to the fire/ice/lightning of black magic. Hopefully they'll get some sort of support move. Don't they get a Haste or something ? It could be similar to an Arrow that gets put on the whole group. I mean, i at least hope they go through and give all of the DPS some sort of unique, cool buff to bring to the group.

Last time I didn't care enough about the new jobs enough to drop my main and level one of them immediately.

Red Mage, on the other hand, is something I want right the fuck now. I'll need to ask some of my friends if they will be willing to help burst level it from 50 to 60 when the early access starts, because it is seriously hype as fuck.

Even though their focus will be DPS I vainly hope they will have a few unique debuffs that aren't just "reduced boss damage for a few seconds every 1-3 minutes".

Well they might be retooling that system since the crossclass system means they'll probably fuck with things like i4i and virus.

but this is a watered down themepark mmo, RDM is going to be a ranged dps that has 3-4 minor utility abilities like every other dps in this game

Healers have the easiest job in the game. Savage is the only challenging content to heal, and even that just takes memorizing the boss's script.
