How goes the raiding, /ffg/? This JP one is pretty tough, he one-shots my Firion and almost wipes my team unless I manage to get Cecil's LB up on the second turn.
Though I guess I could finally get around to leveling up a Vaan and try Full Breaking him.

With your team setup, yes you can beat him, bring a strong damage dealing friend (600+ gilgamesh/lightning/Luneth)

The raid is easy if you have an Onion Knight or two and bring a friend OK over with you. I used no buffs and just used Noct to debuff him while my Rikku and Light chain with my Onions. Just got the katana, 10% Trust Moogle, and four copies of Jake's TM. Can't imagine doing the raid without OK, though.

Also to add, my team for surging menace was chiz/cecil/exdeath/refia/cod, with friend lightning, kill cactuar with 10 bomb fragments (2 turn kill). Chain ice dmg with dualcast blizzaga+ice blitz on bombs, Io and architeuct are easy. On greater demon have your party topped off before graviga (he does it at certain %hp tresholds, cant remember which). I beat the event on first try with no much difficulty.

user, I know we are talking about JP here, and getting a 5* there is hundreds of times easier, and quite a few people in this general got OK during his debut thanks to all the free shit from anniversary, but we are still talking about 5* in BE, it's not that easy to get

I have never once played a final fantasy game in my life. Where do i start. Preferably with something that's in the steam sale.

Marriage has been in the game for a while now. At least the game got a nice thematic area out of it that they use for it to take place. It was pretty light on actual places of worship of the human gods before.

People were getting married back when I was playing Lineage 2, this is nothing new.

Start with IV or VI or VII and the rest of the games I just mentioned. Then play IX.

Emulate the GBA version of FF5 or buy FF7 on PC I guess.

VI has 18 fucking characters. I feel like V is a pretty straightforward starting point and it'll introduce him to friends like Gilgamesh.

I guess you could argue for IV but the story (and After Years) is just such a mess.

try either IV, VI, or IX to understand the classic mechanics, bonus points for IX beign on sale right now in steam.

The simplicity of V can only be truly appreciated when you play shit like XIII. VI having 18 characters gives variety to new players. IV's story could be ignored.

The pacing was a mess, some story elements came out of nowhere or were completely glossed over, and I feel like the game was only 80% done, but goddamn did that final act do nearly everything right. Every heart string was tugged.

No, the game gives you enough Lapis to keep up and even steadily increase. And even if you were constantly losing lapis it still gives you the most bang for your free premium buck compared to any other kind of pulling.
Saving for 11x pulls is a bad idea and gives you less pulls in general, the thing you're supposed to be hoarding for "chase" banners are your tickets.

Every unit can only get to 6* with event materials. If you plan to only go to 5, get Santa Roselia leveled up and Chizuru. They're both good 5* characters. CoD isn't.

I'll probably wait till the 29th, don't worry, I'll still post results.
