When will fighting games finally move on from the shitty standards that SF introduced 20 years ago? KI had the right idea where your health doesn't refil when you win a round but smash perfected that new formula by giving players stocks. Actually smash did even more right by giving players a whole new level of skill with movement compared to regular 2D snore fests.

to be honest, you shouldn't be worrying about points. You should be worrying about improving yourself. If you just focus on that, eventually the points will just come naturally.
I don't know what the modding community is like for this game, but if you play on PC, try to see if there's a mod that hides point scores so it doesn't stress you out too much.

It's really nothing complicated.
Instead of just doing a delay tech, roll your thumb/your stick from downback to upback and tech. But don't tech too quickly, or you won't get your jump.
