You wouldn't meme this if you'd read Lenin's letters

Why is marx always depicted as Old Marx when the Communist Manifesto was published when he was 30? I guess it's because Das Kapital was published when he was older (or dead), but I feel like it would be a better way to achieve their goals for a commie to portray Marx as a young and vibrant revolutionary a la Che rather than an old political theorist.

I find it even funnier in german
"heiliges römisches reich deutscher nation"
literally calling it roman and german at the same time
and to top it off a "nation"

Its "Nationen", nations. Holy roman empire of german nations

>William of Malmesbury's humorous anecdote illustrates both the character of John Scotus Eriugena Eriugena and the position he occupied at the French court. The king having asked, "Quid distat inter sottum et Scottum?" (What separates a drunkard from an Irishman?), Eriugena replied, "Tabula tantum" (Only a table), implying that the king himself was a drunkard.
