There is literally no difference between the newer gen GSXRs and older besides some meme electronics. A $2,000 would be just as effective tbqh

Yet slower than a 2k gokart

Not true in the hands of a GP skilled rider. For average track junkie yes it's pretty similar but the lap time differences for a new gsxr compared to one of the early EFI models is night and day when ridden by someone who knows their shit.

Yeah nah its like a second, at most 2 difference and the price difference can be spent on modifications to the older bike to make it superior to the modern bike in every single way.

of course it does, cars are literally shit

I am sorry but I am going to have say that you are incorrect. There is virtually zero meaningful differences between older generations and newer generations. Horsepower and torque has remained mostly consistent (+/- 1%) and there have been absolutely zero changes to the geometry of the bike (seat height, wheelbase, clearance, length, width, etc...). The only changes made were cooler looking plastics, electronic power modes, and a slight redistribution of the torque curve to help meet emissions standards (newer gen have more top end versus previous gens having more low end).

I actually don't even think they had traction control or ABS up until the most recent 2017 release

Either way, my point is that $12,000 is completely overkill to destroy cars on that track. It could be done with $2,000. Also I find it interesting that they used a 750 instead of a 1000 which would have had better performance

Are you dumb? Did you even click the link? Lmfao nigger

>mfw sportbikes take back their throne on the benchracing shitposting grand prix

finally one to defeat the GTR, GT, and Z06

Bikes have had that claim a long time already.
What car for under 50k can you buy that will do a sub 10 second quater mile?

any claims of modifications making the gap are out the door because the bike is still cheaper and can also be modified to get low 8's very easily.

What's the insurance like on a GSX-R 750?

obviously depends on a lot of things

Motorcycle insurance is mainly comprised of whatever amount of collision/comprehensive you want to pay for. So if you're riding a shit bike you don't care about, there is no reason to pay for collision/comprehensive. In this case your insurance will be dirt cheap. (My GSXR 1000 is about $200/yr)

unless you live in socialist paradise BC

I pay $1500/yr for my tuono

>implying the average squid could get even remotely close to that time

The average squid would get smoked by a 250 with a professional rider on a track. The average rider can't even launch their bike properly.

>Aprilia
Well there's your problem.

It doesn't take the manufacturer or style in at all, based solely on CC

Not for long...

Spotted the retard who doesn't know shit about bikes.

There is a night and day difference between the quality of suspension alone in a 10-15 year old sport bike and a 1-5 year old sport bike.

>no geometry changes
>lists general dimensions as if they meaningfully dictate chassis geometry.
Again your a fucking retard.
Rake, Trail, Wheelbase, Swingarm length, fork offset, etc. have all changed generation to generation for a single sportbike model.

>Horsepower and torque has remained mostly consistent (+/- 1%)
This is also wrong. 15 years ago 130-140hp was the norm for literbikes and 90-100hp was the norm for 600's.
Now 600's are slow if they're not pushing near 120hp at the crank and modern literbikes are making 190-200hp at the crank.

And now all that power can be actually used in a corner due to modern advancements like gyro based traction control and slide control.

Again, you have no idea what you are talking about.

>Also I find it interesting that they used a 750 instead of a 1000 which would have had better performance

Also, this is wrong.

More horsepower != better performance on the track. A modern 600 is a better handing bike than a modern 1000. 1000's have to try to make up in the straights what they loose to 600's in corner speed.

750's are a happy medium, they can rival 600's in corner speed and they can try to keep up with 1000's in the straights ultimately netting equivalent or faster lap times depending on the track configuration (faster straighter tracks favor liter bikes, slower twistier tracks favor 600's)

>absolutely hideous

Suzuki, what were you thinking.
