It's kind of weird though where they draw the line, she was already shitting up chat constantly, especially after her female representation in Dominions thread on desura didn't get universal support. (because literal goddesses aren't enough, half of my chaff has to have little spritely tits)

Yes. It was a pretty good mod besides that though desu from what I remember. There were some players in the goon community that knew a shitload about Dominions so could keep that in line to an extent.

Why is CoE4 so... basic?
Might just be because I'm playing Dryad Queen, but aside from having some depth in magic, the game is really barebones. I'm essentially just ferrying freespawn around and watching fights. It's like the game is still in beta.

I'm confused by it too, they likely wanted something simpler than dominions to play with but they also stripped out everything that isn't acquiring resources, ferrying stuff around and using magic rituals.

They actually did, and they're enabled in MP by default. In SP you had to RUN THE GAME WITH -b command line command. There are also --autosave and --rename.

Kind of. Barely. I don't end that many turns with less than 50 gold left in my treasury. Some very specific expansion strategies might sometimes be delayed by a turn which sometimes results in one province less in total expansion. More than likely that small amount of gold will be eaten up by the pile of small but mounting inefficiencies that build up over the course of a game.

It sure it a bad event to get on turn one, sure. It's worse than nothing. But I don't know that it warrants 4 g's in fug is all.
