In Skyrim I'm doing a stealth/archer playthrough, and I just finished the Dawngaurd questline and have Auriel's bow. The exploding arrows are fun for weaker enemies but in terms of usability I really enjoy the amazing drawspeed. I know it has lower power, but compared to my slow ass Daedric bow that I was previously using the fire speed made it do more damage over time. However, I just got my smithing to 100 and made a Dragonbone bow. They're about he same in overall DPS since DB is faster than Deadric. Auriel's bow does about 75% of the DB bow's damage but the DB bow has exactly 75% of the firing speed Auriel's bow does. They're tied for damage over time. Which one should I go with?
On one hand I can add whatever enchantments to the DB Bow I want, and annoyingly the Sun enchantment on Auriel's doesn't get more frugal charges from Restoration or any spell stat. Plus just 20 sun isn't amazing against all enemies. It'd be nice to apply frost or magicka at a higher value to it and not have to recharge the damn thing after 20 uses. On the other hand the fast draw speed is really fun and useful for many weaker enemies surrounding me and capitalizing on the bow skill tree paralization perk. Plus for sneaking while better base damage lets me do more sneak damage, faster draw speed lets me pick off more enemies before my sneaking is blown.

Slower = better for STEALTH archery because of the opening crits. Unless you're so high on stealth that ALL your shots are stealth attack crits. In which case it doesn't matter.
Other options to consider are poisons. If you use them, quicker shots = more poison delivery if you spam poisons. Also: Enchantment procs. Faster firing = more procs of 20 health absorb or shock damage or whatever you use.
