Be American

>be American
>no Audi RS6 estate
>no cruising past police at 150mph on autobahn

>wanting an overpriced, overcomplicated, unreliable, pigfat, understeering VW

At least we got these...

>no driving to Paris for the weekend with a car full of people plus luggage at 150mph

It'll break down halfway there.

>be European
>ride the bus
Lol

Lol

>be European
>get bombed

Thats not a CTS-V interior

I'd say that America would benefit a lot culturally and economically from having major highways with no speed limits since fast good and cheap cars are plentiful but you can't trust people in power to make something like this happen without turning to socialism and then eventually banning these vehicles altogether cause muh global warming.

Not to mention gas being less than half as much as it is in Europe but that would probably spike because the demand would be higher.

Lol

You can't do it because getting a license in America is trivial - you can't trust idiots with two ton machines at that speed.

Trucks would be sold less, since they are shit at high speeds.
I think that would decrease the effect of higher allowed speeds on the total fuel consumption.

Darwin would thank you for letting retards drive fast and die because of stupidity.

>you're poor
>german engineering, I'll give you that one
>tops reliability lists since the late 00's
>expects a comfortable highway missile wagon to be a racecar

>Drive to paris
>get shot
>drive back to germany
>get ran over by a truck
>fly to america
>your kids get shot
>move north to canada
>get shot, then get attacked by a moose while police arrest your dog for being racist against muslims
>move south to mexico
>get beheaded
>will your bullet riddled, flattened, moose mangled corpse to russia
>double die from drinking bath oil

I don't care about the idiots killing themselves, I'm worried about them killing innocent drivers in their stupidity.

>build godmachine
>keep exclusive to a market where fucking no one can afford it
????????????

Put a concrete or steel barrier between the lanes, just like in germany.

It worked in Montana for 5 years but that might be because there was so little traffic is practically didn't matter like Australia's Northern Territory. I also feel like it would get so much publicity and take so long to engineer that people would be well aware of changes they'd have to make in order to drive properly by the time the project was finished. Not to mention the police wouldn't hesitate to give you a hard time the second you stepped out of line.

Not sure if you mean semis pickups or both, but people choose to drive slow on the autobahn with a minimum speed allowed of 60km/h and most people with cars sitting around 75-85mph anyway. I feel like this wouldn't change much there, they'd just be confined to the right lane as they are fairly often in America anyway.

Pull up at silencio in Paris like

>Accidents only involve oncoming traffic

I've seen people understeer into a median going 30mph around a very gentle corner.

America does NOT train drivers. You go to traffic school, take a test that proves you can somewhat function in traffic, drive around to prove you know what a stoplight is, and then that's it. Instructors will go as far as to tell you to slow down to a "comfortable speed" for every single corner, because there are people who need to be told that.

>America
>Slow traffic staying on the right. Ever.

user...

Go look at the car crashes threads on /wsg/, they wouldn't be able to handle no limits

I meant pick ups and other unaerodynamic vehicles.

>minimum speed allowed of 60km/h
That is actualy wrong, your vehicle must be able to drive faster than 60km/h.
There is no minimum speed on the Autobahn and there are basicly three speeds yo drive there:
80-90 km/h behind a semi truck on the right lane
120-130 km/h on the left or if availabe middle lane
150+km/h on the left, middle and sometimes even right lane if there isn´t much traffic and no speed limit.

t. german

OK, you might need to change something.
How about a special licence for high speed driving?
You could show it with different cloured licence plates and a special remark on your licence.

People drive this poorly everywhere. America's population is crazy dense so naturally the number of bad drivers is going to be higher and most of the people who drive like assholes come from similar communities. You can build a better road system that discourages selfish driving which should in turn reflect on the driving culture there. American roads are retarded and inconsistent and require incredibly aggressive driving to navigate.

Thanks for correcting that, but this means that it's legal for people to drive at or slower than that and they choose not to, and if it does happen then it's still not a huge deal.

Other than in a traffic jam, snow or ice this doesn´t happen since you don´t have any benefit from driving slower than 60km/h.
The best fuel economy usualy is between 70 and 80 km/h, so why go slower than that?

The 2008-2010 Audi RS6 has a Lamborghini V10 engine from factory, so crazy

Crazy that it makes less power than the V8 in the CTS V.

This is a subject that's intrigued me for a while. I made some calculations and while I can't remember the exact numbers the relationship between rpm and speed in my V6 Ranger actually improves marginally the closer I get to to it's limited to speed of around 94mph with the best economy seeming to be right at the top. I don't have any other points of reference and I don't have a good enough understanding of engines to know if this means anything (if the mixture is more rich in higher rpms or if it's vehicle dependant etc.) but I feel like I get way better long distance fuel economy going as fast as I can and avoiding slowing down at all costs in that particular vehicle than driving closer to the speed limit. I may just be retarded/delusional though

Can the CTS V handle full speed for extended periods?
The RS-6 can drive up to 303 km/h with its 580 hp V10 without any problems as long as the Autobahn is free and fuel is in the tank.

The LSA in that gen CTS-V makes 560hp, the RS6's V10 makes 580hp. Both can make much more power quite easily, but the CTS has a liter more displacement.

Check the RS6 wiki it doesn't, also you can't pretend a boring Yank V8 is better than a lambo V10

Would something like a Mazdaspeed6 (and I guess 3 since they both have the same engine) even survive a German freeway regarding their fuel starvation problems? How common is this in cars? Do German cars not have this problem by default because the manufacturers know their main consumers are gonna drive them at top speed frequently?

>Can the CTS V handle full speed for extended periods?

Yes, That's why LS engines are used in desert racing trucks, boats and sometimes planes. I wouldn't trust the 50 feet of timing chain in the Audi engine desu.

The Caddy makes more torque which is more important.

That is actualy wrong, your engine might be more efficient at high load and mid rpm, but the aerodynamic drag increases by square of your speed.

Especially with a aerodynamic catastrophy like your pick up, the fuel economy gets worse at high speeds due to the enormous drag.

>not hardened camshaft
>insufficient cooling
vs
>long timing chain

The timing chain actualy isn´t sterssed much more under high load, the cooling system and the camshaft surfaces are.

Unrelated but sort of related, there's videos of Rs6's vs Japanese super bikes on the Autobahn on YouTube and you can tell the bikes weren't designed to be pinned back at full throttle for long durations, the Rs6 can do it all day

>be American
>no smashed windows/stolen wheels due to group rage of refugees

If you're gonna shitpost about the RS6 being inferior, just bring up that the engine is ahead of the front axle.
That's right, a massive DOHC twin turbo V10, and all of that is as far from the car's center as possible.

We didn´t get turbo MR2s for that reason, some engines aren´t constructed with permanent use at max power in mind.
Although I never heared about fuel starvation issues on the Mazdaspped 6, but I didn´´t look for that since I don´t own one and don´t plat on gettingone anytime soon.

That car is a Vertreterbomber or Autobahn missile.
That car isn´t desinged to drive corners fast, it is desinged to drive stable and comfortable at high speeds.
More load on the front wheels isn´t bad for that reason, since you avoid fishtailing and gain stability.

Too much bureaucratic cost.

We're too busy throwing money at schools like it'll make malnourished hicks and niggers that drink pesticides for breakfast have a higher baseline intelligence and buying expensive jets like it'll make random third world renegades stop resisting our desire to run every country as a representatiive democracy

You could cut welfare spending and force gender studies cunts to get a real job...

Here's to a trump presidency, then.

Looks nice. I can't really see what the problem here is.

>$180k for a vw cube van

hoping godly motors makes new cts-v wagons at some point. They were great.

>not taking the better car

Amen br/o/ther.
