Modern people like to be encapsulated in their little save spaces and they're scared of big windows
Then get an old car.
...
you've not seen what happens when a car fall on its side at speed
or gets clipped by any incoming object
say good bye to your arm and its constituents
So many people get fucked up by logs that fall from road trains and crash through windows.
We should fucking ban assault windows.
why do you want you arm resting on the door
you have air conditioning, its not the 80's anymore

its not so bad
but there are still rare events that not much can be done about
yeah, f**k freedom, I mean it's 2017 already!
>freedom is putting your arm on the window
ok
It actually is
but of course
just don't sue when something goes wrong
2nd video, rain sensing wipers go off? heh
it's usually that long ass wiper switch.."arm?" that moves into ON position by the impact jolt and therefore turns on the wiper
New Mazda MX-5 doesn't have this problem
yeah, it's amazing how they were able to keep most of the proportions intact.
mazda sure is based in that regard.
>have old bmw 3 series (E30)
>proportions are perfect for arm-resting
>window followers are hard and hurt my arm when I rest on it
goddammit
>tfw in the quest for safer vehicles the road has become more dangerous place
Smaller Windows, taller rear decks and wider pillars make visibility(especially to the rear) all but non existent and the introduction of driver "aids" are creating an increasingly lazy and less attentive driver because " my car will stop for me", "my car will let me know if someone is in that lane" "I don't need to look backwards I have a rear view camera"
Shits scary yo
the best part is that people never think what happens when they meet an equivalent or larger object
Arm on the door? No thanks, I don't wanna dislocate my shoulder.
that dude looks like a picture book example of someone who's hoping the choice of the car will actually help him getting some pussy/ass
That looks great, the way airbags have been miniturised over the last few years really works with that wheel.
>tfw modern cars make the average male look like a manlet
it's also impressive how thin the A-pillars are on that car.
how the fuck can they get away with that?
does the Mx5/Miata not have to conform to safety standards?
it's a takada.
tfw modern car seats are too large to fit me
yet the interiors feel small and cramped and have really shitty buttons
You don't get it.
>that death grip on the steering wheel visibly straining his arm muscles.
>people don't realize that this is why we need self driving cars
>self driving cars take bad/drunk/scared drivers off the road
>fewer poor drivers = fewer crashes
>fewer crashes = less need for stringent safety regulations
>less need for stringent safety regulations = more freedom for quality car design
self driving cars = better looking cars
muh NB miats has perfect door height relative to the seat for resting my elbow while still reaching the wheel
>tfw left arm is almost black by end of summer
>while right arm and face are just lightly tanned
or self driving cars lead to overbearing saftey regulations as the industry goes unchecked getting worse and worse until there are no windows and its a pillowed room for you to be trapped in while your car takes you to work and back
just buy a fucking truck, fuck cars
I'd totally have a beer with you dudes.
>industry goes unchecked
what
the self-driving industry is going to be the MOST regulated industry that we'll experience. you think there was a lot of eyes on legal cannabis? just wait til truly autonomous cars go on sale and you'll watch the media nitpick every incident, deserving and not.
and mercedes/volvo/tesla/google/etc all know this, which is why there WON'T be any problems because the code to operate these cars will be bulletproof, written by the very best in the industry.
It's the Peltzman effect in full force.
Just look at those commercials that show how drivers get lost in a daydream and the car prevents them from rear ending a stopped car or swerving lanes. These electronic nannies will make people less safe drivers because they will think that the car will compensate for their lack of attention.
>overbearing safety regulations
>unchecked industry
U wot
>car starts tipping over
>your nerve system doesn't produce any reflexes
>arm stays in place and detaches from your body upon impact
Sucks to be you.
When you've never replaced a window regulator so you are scared to roll down your windows
>faggot used to drive mommies new crossover
>over at a friend's house
>HEY BRAH CAN I HAVE YOUR CAR QUICK I WANNA GET SOME DORITOS
>sure thing
>he crashes because his friend's 90's shitbox didn't brake for him when he was texting and driving
That might actually happen
probably did several times already
How is he driving if the car is in park?
stop being a manlet
Interesting, so you're so tall that you have to cut a hole into the roof and put your head through.
That's actually as tall as you have to be in many new cars to be able to lay your arm on the window without dislocating your shoulder.
7ft masterrace!
don't be an ass. he's just one of the bus riders...
