Its kinda shit, very bland. I played it after spending 120~ hours in DT2 and having finished the post-game of all Etrian Odyssey games and Strange Journey, though. The thing that irked me the most was that the game seemed to have four music tracks and half of them were full of generic Vocaloid garbage.

Eh, I found it fun enough. Though it was only my third DRPG, Moe Chronicle and DT2 was the first two. It's definitely not as good as DT2, but way better than Moe even though it also had its good moments.

The characters in DG were pretty good, wish they would have made the party characters permanent too. Well, that's kinda solved in DG2 I think. The demon circle system was pretty good, enjoyed the feeling that there will be some equipment to be had from the circles.

But yeah, it still feels pretty barebones experience, especially after DT2. But overall, I enjoyed it and even platted it, helps that I do like vocaloid music too.

In terms of map and enemy variety, and pretty much everything else, atelier blows nepshit completely out of the water. Even the ps2 ateliers were far than they best nep games, if only because they were actually functional and didn't reuse the same 3 maps and enemy models for the whole game (and every single game after that).

I don't mean it was bad. And maybe "way" was a bit too much. But the maps just weren't as interesting and the mechanics were simplier in Chronicle. It was just a little bit too simple. But the amount of different monster girls and the small skits was very nice.
