When Ford released the 2015 mustang, they dated this body style HARD. Nobody will ever want it now.

Rear end gears for more go, exhaust for sound, shortshifter, suspension mawdz.

Upgrade the suspension first, then get an exhaust (the 4.6L modular sounds soooo good), then good tires.

They also cost twice as much, given, 18K plus isn't that much, but if you have 10K to spend, and you want a v8, the 4.6L is your best option

Gen II SBC's do sound really good; classic NASCAR exhaust noise

BUT, the LS1 is VASTLY improved. it is not even comparable. The LS1 is endlessly better

if ALL you care about is sound, the LT1 does sound better. IMO (i have had both)

the LS1 has way better response, acceleration, more torque, more top end, better at higher RPM. sounds better past 5000 rpm. even gets better mpgs

not to mention the after market support of the LS V8 compared to the dwindling support of the Gen 2 LT1

if I were building a gen 2 SBC it would be a 3rd gen with fbody a carb setup
